FOLLOW/UNFOLLOW is bad? watch this case

SO I've been reading TOO much different stuff on this forum. MIXED opinions for almost everything (from "trusted" members). Sometimes I think that honestly, no one here knows about how really Instagram behaves.

There is a case of a guy uploading photos of sneakers and some streetwear basically, he growth 40k since June. Now is growing like 500 followers a day. The thing is that this guy isn't using tags, he instead post a lot of stuff and it seems that is following very slowly and then unfollowing all these people in a day. Could you please try to interpret this image? THE FIRST LINE is interesting, he has a lot of followers, he unfollows a lot of them, and he upload a lot of media.

HE HAS real and good engagement.

LMK what do you think plzzz

First off, if an account unfollows 2K+ in one day, Instagram ban hammer will come down quickly. Only way he could do it is if he BOUGHT followers and then lost 3K+ in one day (not his own doing).
Or, he has a blue tick/verified Instagram account.

Now, you also see a small gain of new followings (the users the account follows). This can be tricked like this: Follow 100 within 24 hours and unfollow 98 within 24 hours. The website above will show stats that the account only followed 2 for that day.

Follow/Unfollow is not bad. What is bad is the way in which some accounts abuse it.
 
I can't make sense of this. Seems like he's following just a few people per day, but on the first day they unfollowed 3k people? Could be luck really, this is a prime candidate to be ghosted any time.

Are posts getting significant organic reach?

Yeah and also look at the quantity of the posts he make! It's weird but he is growing a lot. What do you mean with getting significant organic reach? His engagement is real that for sure.
 
This is amazing but then don't think that he really unfollowed that much a day, sure the truth is that can't really detect how they work this platform can be modified everyday

YES I said before that he posts a lot of stuff everyday. EASY content like pics from other instagrams or Tumblr.
 
she was not following much a day ........ strange behavior
