[Follow] My Adsense Journey

I created (4) new sites to experiment with Adsense earnings. I will update this thread weekly. The updates will include Adsense earnings and SERP changes. I did some basic SEO already for the sites, and got 2 of them ranked.

Week1
Site 1
Keyword 1-18th in Google- [22,000/Month Exact Match]-$0.00
Keyword 2-14th in Google- [5,400/Month Exact Match]-$0.00
Site 2
Keyword 1-6th in Google- [9,900/Month Exact Match]-$0.00
Unranked for other keywords
Site 3
Unranked-[12,000/Month Exact Match]-$0.00
Site 4
Unranked-[12,500/Month Exact Match]-$0.00

As you can see, I was able to rank one site on the first page of Google, which just happened today actually, So hopefully something good happens there.

Method
The method I'll be using is simple. Continue to create backlinks, which will include profiles, blog comments, and social bookmarks. I stay away from article directories. I will update my sites with 1 new article weekly. The articles are written by me. I'll grab some content to rewrite from my colleges research databases (Thank you college). I'll try to keep keyword density in between 2-4%. I have Google analytic and Google webmaster tracking my sites, so I'll be monitoring that. Overall, I just plan on being consistent.

If I don't make money, I'm not going to lie about it; this is an honest thread. If I fail, oh well, I'll move on. I don't plan on failing though lol. I created this thread more for me, to keep me motivated, but hopefully I can motivate others and prove the adsense naysayers wrong.

Why no Article Directories, many people find article marketing to be the best way to boost SERP ranking.

I've seen some positives from directories as well...not much chnaged after the recent G updates if taht is what you are hinting. For article directories, why not try someone from fiverr on an experiment basis and see how it works for you?

Well, I shouldn't say I don't promote my sites via articles. I write articles in Yahoo's associated content network. It forces me to write high quality articles or else they won't get approved, and I also make a little money from the articles. I usually place a link inside the article where it fits, so everything looks good.

I'm still considering using other article directories. If I were to use them, I most likely would just use them to backlink my backlinks.

Keyword 1-Page 2-Position 18
Keyword 2-Page 2-Position 19

Site 3: Adsense Earnings: $0.00
Keyword 1-Unranked

Site 4: Adsense Earnings: $0.00
Keyword 1-Unranked

Total Profits for week of March 24-March 31= $1.81

Summary
As you can see, the week was successful in the sense that there was some sort of profit. However, It was disappointing to see Site 1 dance to different positions, and now the site is nowhere to be found for two of the keywords. My hope is that it's just the Google dance. However, it is still ranking on page 1 for a small traffic keyword.

It was also disappointing to see Site 2 drop positions for both keywords. The thing about this site is the keywords are extremely difficult to rank for, so I fear Page 1 is impossible this early in the game.

And finally, it was disappointing to see my last 2 sites still not rank for the keywords I targeted.

With all of the disappointment out of the way, I think it's great that there was some money to be made this week. It isn't a whole lot, but it's still something. I just have to remind myself that these sites are new, and it will take some time for good things to happen to them.
