I launched a travel app just few weeks ago and added it on most social media and submitted in 2 directories for startup.

more than 5k pages out of total 10k have been indexed so far but those are mostly for fine dining spots in various cities.
the app is in beta and I am a solo dev still working on it. Main feature of travel planning and itinerary customisation will launch in a month or two which will target the actual travel niche.

In the meantime, when I search for its name on Google, links from twitter/pinterest/instagram and the startup directory take the first 10 results. my website come on second page and that too the meta description shows it as ABOUT page lol

BTW I don't want to submit my app to main start-up directory before it's main travel feature is ready.

my questions:
1. Is it normal for newer websites? should I just wait or something can be done?

2. I also have a blog platform on my app where so far I have published around 10 blogs out of which only one have been indexed even though they are reasonably quality ones. I have posted similar blogs for a client where they get indexed in 5 minutes and start ranking in a day.
So what can I do so Google index them faster ? or is this a waiting game too?

3. Any other tips you have to make indexing faster specially for travel app? or should I just focus on finishing the travel feature first?

Thanks!!

In fact, it is good to do both tasks in parallel if you want the best results. It will be good if you have at least some budget to hire or very good friends knowledgeable in SEO ready to help on pure enthusiasm. If you don't have such an opportunity, it's better to focus on your product and occasionally give signs of life by creating new posts. At least until the core features are ready. Anyway, good luck with your app

In order to promote a product, it must be ready for sales. I think it is worth paying attention to the development of a quality product, and then start promoting it. When you promote a quality product, it will be much easier
