Yes, they did what Paypal commonly does (lock your funds and tell you to come back 6 months later) for a bullshit reason (didn't have a passport).

Another issue with them is that it's hard to get the money out without paying hefty fees: They charge $40 USD to transfer the money to a bank account. It was possible to use their debit card to get the money out through Transferwise, but they blocked that and also blocked the purchase of bitcoins using the card specifically to force you to pay their fees.
