Floyd Wins

for a manly game of boxing, running away like a scared cat and hugging pacquiao all night long does not befit a man claiming to be the pound for pound king. Tagging gayweather pound for pound is a great insult to the sport of boxing. what has come to the world of boxing. i miss the good old days of sugar ray leonard, thomas hearns and roberto duran.

and the way the judges scored the fight, i don't know if they kept close watch of the game. one judge scored 118-110: mayweather won 10 rounds pacquiao won 2 rounds; 2 other judges scored 116-112: mayweather won 9 rounds while pacquaio won 3 rounds only. come on. were you blind. there is no way you can beat pacquaio like that. mayweather was not even dominant in that fight as i said he was running scared.

He wasn't running away like a scared cat, its part of a winning strategy. Just Standing and taking punches is freaking stupid.

Sadly it turned in to a poor advertisement for boxing. Fight of the century?. More like snore of the century. Mayweather just didnt want to fight. He just ran away it was awful. The only loser was boxing fans. I can honestly see them changing the rules of boxing in a few years. They need to reward points for person whos trying to bring the fight and deduct points to the person whos being negative. Its the only way forward after this
 
Floyd won because of all these stupids stats and rules.

He is a pretty good runner i can see, hopefully HBO will promote his next match against Usain Bolt, The Run Of The Century.

If there isn't a KO or TKO that is how a fight is determined, its been that way for a long time.
 
I`m not a big fan of this sport, but idk what people were expecting to see. It`s true that it was not cheap to watch the fight and people wanted some entertainment, but it was obvious Mayweather was not going to risk it.
 
The Pacquiao supporters cannot blame Mayweather for his defensive tactics. If Pacquiao was a true champion then he would have bulldozed through Mayweathers defense and knocked him out or at least thrown and landed more punches.

Mayweather's style is not the best to watch but its supremely efficient. And a better fighter (knowing what to expect) would have won but unfortunately Pacquiao is not in the Mayweather class for boxing skills.
 
As someone who had no idea who Manny or Floyd was up until a couple months ago, and watched the fight only because of the hype that surrounded it - I found the "fight of the century" a rather dull affair.
 
Floyd is still the best, just like i told a few of you a couple days ago, no chance he was losing this fight.

I do not want to start any "fights" here, just want to rub it in "Team Pacqiauo's" face.

Pacqiauo isn't even that cool, he doesn't party as much. So I don't get how he has so many fans.

Had a crazy ex throw a 20 pound bench press pole at my head before when i was younger, we were drinking, it could have easily killed me. Somehow I got in trouble and was charged with domestic violence. So yeah not every guy with DV charges is some demon, the courts simply favor women here in the us.
 
Most of the women that get punched or hit by a guy were asking for it by starting it.
 
Thread should be renamed to "Floyd Hugs".
 
What a boring fight. But then with Mayweather king of fighting bums and has been's I should have known better. Its a shame that he might break Marcianos record when he wouldn't even be good enough to lace his gloves.

The problem with boxing now is the US has nobody of any quality over 150 pounds and that's why fights like this are built up into a frenzy. If they keep telling us the little guys will have the fight of the century we end up falling for it. But I think HBO and Showtime have shot themselves in the foot this time as they won't be able to kid people again.

Im sure in the clinches they were telling each other what they would spend their earnings on. :)
