I can't fucking wait for this fight and as all of you, I'm going for pacqiao. But I think mayweather may have this one considering he's such a technical fighter and is probably one of the best defensive fighters of all time. I really hate the guy but I can't deny his skill. It's like Kanye West, I don't like the dude's character but he makes good music. That being said, I think Pacqiao would've had this fight YEARS ago when it was supposed to happen. There's a good reason why Mayweather kept dodging the dude, because he KNEW he would lose. Speaking of which, someone in reddit mentioned some interesting stuff regarding why he thinks Pacqiao could win Mayweather.
Let me tell you some known facts about this matchup.
-Floyd is terrible against southpaws
-Floyd has trouble with forward moving pressure fighters (Maidana beat the hell out of him until he gassed out, Castillo clearly beat him in their first match but got robbed by the judges, he struggled against a weight drained Oscar Dela Hoya, Shane Mosley beat the living shit out of him until he gave up and decided to just stand in front of Floyd without letting his hands go.)
-Philly Shell defense doesn't work against southpaws, Floyd will use the high guard most likely.
-Floyd gets blown up by people with awkward angles.
-He doesn't have the power to keep Pacquiao off of him. Maidana walked through clean shots for 24 rounds and not once did he seem to give a shit.
-It's hard to look good against a guy with the punch output of Pacquiao, especially for a guy like Floyd who only throws a handful of punches every round and almost never uses combinations. If you go back and watch Pac/Bradley 2 on youtube and slow down the vid during exchanges Tim Bradley landed way more clean shots but Pacquiao still got the descision because it LOOKED like he was landing way more shots than he actually was.
