Florida local traffic. How to monetize?

I have a domain name that I purchased for a PBN but turned out to get some 15-20 uniques a day from a couple of local newspaper sites in Florida. This domain name itself is mimicking the name of a local newspaper, and has a link on that site. So basically people coming on my site are looking for local news most likely. I put adsense on it - basically am displaying three large ads taking up the whole width of the page, the only thing they can click on is ads - and it's making some 40-80 cents a day. I tried some CPA offer from Adscend media, an offer with a Gillette razor (was one of the few, or the only one, that had a banner image and was not a content locking offer), but nobody cared to click on it. Any ideas what could convert better?

The link is not in an article. It's listed on the homepage of the newspaper as a community link.
