I've seen a lot of good deals, it's more white hat users on there though, who simply follow blackhat methods, dispite the fact they have no idea what 'blackhat' really is. Flippa has been proven to be the best place to sell websites, you get higher bids, more bids and overal, more money for your site, which is always good.

something already established..no cookie cutter sites or PLR type just something i can do a bit of advertising to so i can up the revenue a bit and just kinda reverse engineer to get to understand better how a decent website works..

Ive built a few wordpress blogs with wp-robot and one from scratch with artiseer but im bad with SEO and advertising..Im just thinking if i can put a few 100 bucks down and all my time to promote it I can learn as I go and start making my own that make some decent revenue..

Are there any online auctions out there that favor the buyer?

One of the problems with Flippa (at least the last time I looked), is that it is very expensive to list on.

    $20 to list
    +$5 for bolding your listing
+$5 for highlighting it in colour
    and then
+5% of the final sale price

Throw in a good TLD @ $10 per year, the seller is already down $40 before they start to see any money on Flippa.

My time is more valuable than $40 for everything involved. I'm sure yours is too. :D I wouldn't bother listing a site that I wouldn't be making at least $100+ on.

I hear you, but a site that might be valued at about $50 needs to sell for $100 for the seller to get something. Might explain the high prices on Flippa compared to the free listing sites like DP.

Good info about the costs. Didn't know that - thanks.

I've been watching lately and I see a lot of inexpensive sites (which claim to be making money, set up SEO, etc...) not sell. Seen some interesting niche's too. The key is figuring out which really are diamonds in the rough and which are full of sheeet. Not easy for a noob either. Take a look and I'm sure you can grab something for >$150.

a lot of those sites look pretty easy to make and the stuff ive learned off here would make it easy to do so. But ya i would say if a site has a proven monthly income of about 5 times less than the site is to buy outright and you have the time to promo it more u wouldn't have much to loose..but again u just never know whose honest i guess
