Flippa Website Deindexed

So I bought a website on 5/15 on flippa and 1 week later the website is Deindexed! I know I took the chance and beforehand checked backlinks, archives etc. but common a week later my website gets Deindexed.

The seller wouldn't contact me until I opened a PayPal disputed. Know the seller is pissed and said I ruined his reputation blah blah on PayPal. I told him I would ruin his 100% score on flippa.

I used my Amex through flippa... Should I call my charge card and get a chargeback if I can.

Should I just try to get a partial refund? Should I try to get website indexed again?

please help!

as for beeing deindexed after a week that is just bad luck, so suck it up ad call it a loss...

I can't help but wonder how the domain got deindexed. It was either through the buyer's actions after buying the domain that got it zapped or there was some sorcery on the seller's side which had propped up the metrics until after the sale. Once the domain was sold, the props were perhaps pulled.

The domain is 4 years old... Makes no sense why the website would be Deindexed in a little over a week!

There could have been all sorts of shenanigans going on with redirects and metric manipulation until he sold it to you when he pulled it all away and covered his tracks. Or it was something you did. It makes sense, you just aren't telling us everything probably because you don't know it all.

I would add it to Search Console and see what's going on over there, then go from there.

The seller transferred the website to me and I just added my affiliate codes within that week and that is it. Thanks

Depending on the penalty... Is it worth hiring someone to fix it? Or should I continue to disputed it. I don't want to be a asshole to the seller but 1 week the site getting tanked! I know my Amex will do a chargeback

This just happened to me! Could you let me know what the sellers name on flippa is that you bought a website with? Going forward invest money in making your own website OP...lesson learned on my side!

I'm personally really interested in how the seller managed to make the domain indexed, and then deindexed. It's possible he pointed some juicy links to it which were then secretly taken away after the sale. Majestic or Ahrefs may have a clue as to what those links were. Assuming the domain has or had a trust flow then that trust flow would have had to be based on something, and that something will be available to examine.

Well maybe the seller had some backlinks that were hidden from crawlers, that you can see once you add the site to Search Console. Some penalties are easier to take care of, but regardless of that, you might see something like backlinks that weren't disclosed as part of the arrangement, shady linking tactics, 301s or something like that - if that's the case, i would try to get a refund from amex.

On the other hand, if you got what the seller promised in the listing and all your chats, and was just unlucky to have Google penalize the site for backlinks you had prior access to and could analyze, then you knew what you were getting before buying it and it's an oversight on your end.

IMO, You have to know the reason for deindex by adding it to search console before opening a paypal dispute.

So I can add it to my GWT without hurting my other websites? If the penalty Is backlinks what is the chances of recovery? If the penalty is thin content what are the chances with recovery? Their are many pages with thin content but many with a lot of content.

Common dude, just create another account. Also you said that you have added your affiliate codes to the site. Sometimes websites get deindexed due to, to many affiliate links, links to sources that google don't like, or due to sneaky mobile redirects, etc..

i think what u didnt fail to understand is some flippa sellers are scammers and will move to high extend to archive there goal, it is always recommended to do a proper due delligence before purchasing a site
