Hello. I am a few steps away from selling my first blog. I'am earning about $100/month by adsense and amazon, and I want to sell it. Someone made me an offer to buy it trough paypal and avoiding this way to pay flippa fees. But is it safe ? Can it be a scam ? I mean if I will give him the blog, he can just open a paypal dispute and claim that he didn't received the blog, and get a full refund. Right?

And if I go with flippa, can I be scammed? Or it will be a sure transaction.

Thank you.

You can be scammed in flippa. In fact scams are rampant there.

You're thinking too much. What kind of money he offered you when you're so scared?

Use escrow.com, Flippa doesn't really help when you're scammed.

I don't know. I haven't discussed that. Why there is a difference?

I sold a couple of sites via PayPal and all went fine. If you're not sure what to do and if your site is at GoDaddy just start a GoDaddy offer-counteroffer auction and you will be safe (you will have to cover GoDaddy fees though)

Escrow.com ftw. They will receive the website and domain from you and receive money from the buyer and after they have both in their hands they will give the buyer the website and give you the money minus their fees. Totally safe for both of you.

I would say flippa. You are dealing with digital goods here, so if he opens a dispute of somekind, you are going to lose it if you use paypal. Flippa, being one of the best domain brokers would be safer as a platform. Godaddy auctions is another platform, but the fees are sky-high (20% if I remember correctly)

Request that he pays via bank wire, there is nearly no fraud activities with it, paypal gets used everyday by cybercriminals to purchase all kind of goods.

If he dont want to send the money first then you will have to use escrow.

PS: setup a contract before and exchange your personal information.

suprised to finally see the real flippa on here, welcome.

10% for flippa escrow, lmao. (10-30$ ok, but not a 10% rate when most sites go for quite a good amount of money)

must be nice making money with doing absolutely nothing.

Use xoom or western union to get your funds, paypal and Flippa are boring in these days for scam stories.

Scammers exists everywhere including in these forums too.
