Umm, no it's not. Maybe you should read some posts on this thread. You will save almost nothing but receive in return 1/3 less traffic and exposure for the same money.

This is a pretty smart idea on Flippa's side - they know most people won't actually do the math and will go for the lower upfront fee.
Also signals to me they want to continue with "site flippers" selling $50 template sites while for those of us who sell larger sites, the fees are getting very high (costs a few grand to sell anything over 20k). I guess it makes sense as the money is to be made from the 100s of low end listings, whereas there is a much smaller pool of genuinely good sites in the 5 figure range. 6 figures and above is always going to be difficult/impossible for Flippa as the auction system doesn't work for large sales.
