[SUB]Alright, let's hear it:

Everything you hate about flippa...

I'll start

1.) Horrible listings without proof[/SUB]

Alright, let's hear it:

Everything you hate about flippa...

Instead of cursing the darkness, why not suggest solutions? If there are bad listings with no proof, why not place a listing where earnings/traffic proof isn't an issue? An example of this would be reselling web hosting, under a unique domain. Start offering free-for-now accounts to X people, who build value for the host from promoting their own niche sites. When you have enough clients you sell the hosting domain with the client accounts on Flippa. Buyer can then monetize however they want, set rates, post ads, Adsense, etc. No need to prove traffic or earnings, yet the site as-is can probably get flipped for hundreds.

I do know how to make it better, the whole point of the thread was to hear what other things people want.

I want to know what other people think the problem with the site is now.

What is the point of hating a site that is irrelevant...

Smart people focus on positives while at the same time turning negatives into positives...

Your search for what is really going on at flippa look no further than this very knowledgeable guy kvmcable

Follow his posts and threads and you will be surprised what you learn about flippa...

Who is hating on the site? And who say's it irrelevant?

The point of the thread is to get people's complaints and then if I see a large gap, create something better for them.

It's called business analysis and market research.

Thank you for the link to the thread, I appreciate it.

Is there any other places you prefer to sell sites?

You could try

pricell.com

18.98%
LISTINGS SOLD
LAST 3 MONTHS

They are a new start up edging into the market I have no connection with them but almost anything is better than flippa!

Just checked them out, nothing special, but decent. Thanks for contributing :)

Also, have you by any chance ever sold a video?

You are welcome with respect using the word hate does not engender the best of feedback.

Certainly if I was doing business analysis use a better descriptor, as hate is a very emotive word that rarely gets the best of responses

Just my 2 cents

Why is it irrelevant because it is dying on its feet...

Also, have you by any chance ever sold a video?

Yes but not on website auction site

I appreciate the feedback and I can understand why some might find the headline a bit over the top.

The emotion is precisely why I wanted to use it, as I thought it might bring out the bad emotions felt when people used flippa. Thus giving me the feedback I was seeking.

Your advice is duly noted.

Don't see the glass as "Half empty".. Instead see it as "Half filled with water"..
Yeah the fees are too high in flippa. Another thing I hate about them is the private listing for which I have to pay $100.. wtf man, $100 for keeping the identity private? That sucks... Otherwise, they are good :)

Thank you for your participation.

Other then monetary complaints, would you like any additional services added to your listings?

As i said... I hate their NDA fees too. Otherwise I find them pretty good, because predominantly, I am a seller and did not even buy a single site from flippa till date..

I meant to imply the NDA fee's within my last statement.

I will re-phrase my question better: As a seller, would you like any additional features when selling your site(i.e. being able to sell adspace instead of the whole site, having an option for the site to read your analytics so you don't have to do the work of showing your proof, a more user friendly interface etc. etc.)

mmm may be they could simplify the process for listing a site. When I started using flippa, i could not figure out how to list my site at first. Took me some time to get used to it... So +1 for user friendly interface. I don't think they should offer selling adspace, because in that case, they would become a advertising agency instead of a website broker...

Awesome feedback!

That's a good point about running two different type of businesses if they incorporated adspace. Although, looking at it from a sellers point of view, would YOU appreciate having that option (say if people could bid on either a sale or testing adspace for x amount/month?

From the seller's point of view, yes I would love to have that option lol!!
