Flippa commentors.

Why do they have to be such noobs?

I know for a fact the ones that are asking for proof of income, analytics, etc. aren't buying shit anyway, so why waste their time?

All the proof, income and traffic, is in the description. Yet they comment on Flippa like it's a DP thread.

This guy has been spamming my auction since yesterday and I've been deleting all this comments after accusing me of being a scammer, bidding on my own auction, and even said I FAKED ANALYTICS LOL.. There's a verified analytics report with my site URL on it.

Fucking noobs. Sorry I just had to get that off my chest -_-.

That guy is likely to be a seller with the same type of site for sale. Check his profile.

i cannot stand flipppa i hope there is a new competitor that emerges out there with better security, support, all around UX.

That's all part and parcel of flipping sites unfortunately - I wish there was a better solution (and there is, private sellers/buyers but you gotta know the right people).

I know what you mean, I've bought a few sites on there and the other commenters that are curious about the websites don't bother reading. They're also very impatient and pushy.

The "noobs" are trying to steal your business model
and build another site just like it themselves.

That is true, but It just makes me angry because I figure potentials buyers are going to read the comments and words like "scam", "fraud", etc. Any negative words are going to scare them off.

Having run well over 100 auctions on Flippa, I can honestly say that out of those people asking their questions via comments (rather than PM), approximately 25% are actual bidders and the rest are either trolls that think everything out there is a scam or competitors who themselves have sites listed.

And to make the matters worse, out of those 25% that are actual bidders, at least half post their (negative sounding) comments in order to scare away other bidders and thus reach a lower end price.

Because of this what I usually do is make it very clear (within the listing) that due to privacy reasons (people actively browsing Flippa in hopes of stealing ideas) I only answer questions via PM, and by doing that I can delete comments without any issues, by just adding my own comment below the deleted one and referencing back to the paragraph within the listing. If you don't do that and still delete comments, it will look a bit dodgy, as quite a few buyers will automatically assume that you've got something to hide.

Another suggestion, by the way, is to report comments to Flippa. They're pretty good at removing comments that obviously aren't true and would damage your reputation.
