Flippa.com Site profit 5k month, sold 1.7k?

What I have noticed with accounts like that after they sell the site days later their account get suspended, so it's pretty obvious that the guy is a scammer.

I'm gonna ask some dumb questions now, but here we go:

Like you and everyone else said, none of this makes sense, but what is the scammer trying to achieve? The buyer would clearly see through all of this once he took ownership of the site. I imagine PayPal or Flippa would side with the buyer or alternatively try to prosecute the scammer?

Additionally, the video evidence seemed pretty solid. Not sure how you would fake that as he was clicking links and re-loading the shopify page while recording.

The only situation I can think of where a price:earnings ratio like this would make sense is on some type of 1 off event site, like for example a site for the Avengers movie - movie has passed now, earnings have peaked and will only crash and burn very drastically from here.

Search vol will dry up quickly, buzz and all traffic will vanish as soon as the event passes - other than that I can't really think of any reason for a 4 month sales price other than scam.

I see some those accounts are suspended on flippa already. it might have been some kind of scam, maybe they were trying to create reputable flippa seller profiles, so the next scam they run is bigger and they artificially show trust? who knows, but anyone with their right mind wont buy and should understand that there is something fishy there

At least you can see that it a marketplace so there will be scammer. It just how they manipulating it or their account will gonna be suspended. If the deal sound too good to be true then it's not.
