    Hi all

Mods - If this is in the wrong section please move it as I didn't know which forum would be best.

So I thought I would try flipping a WordPress blog on Flippa. I see so many rubbish blogs and websites for sale with PLR articles, auto-posting rubbish going for up to 200 bucks on their starter sites section that I thought I could make a better website and sell it there.

I made a site with 10,000 handwritten (by myself) words in around 13 articles or so. All articles are pretty good in my opinion and they all passed copyscape. They have pictures, videos, good onsite SEO with outbound links, inner linking, low keyword density, etc.

The site is responsive looks good and even has fake social accounts for Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google Plus that are linked back to the website and are also set up to look real.

There is a free eBook giveaway and an email sign up form for building lists and I offered all the regular freebies like inserting affiliate links, domain push, free IM ebooks and all that WSO shite that the other popular sellers do.

I basically imitated the popular sellers and did the same as them but made the website much better than all the rubbish they sell. It's a good domain with no problems, very brandable and not penalties.

I looked at the niches that went for sale and chose a health based niche as they seem to be very popular on Flippa in the new websites section.

I researched the best way to sell and set my auction to have a relatively low buy it now price, no reserve and it lasted for 10 days.

I didn't even get one bid!

As far as I can see, my website is better than most that are sold on Flippa, judging by the crap that is sold. I am confused as to why there was no interest in my auction.

I know I'm a new seller, but that is why I put no reserve. I thought that I would take a hit on my first few sales to build up a reputation. But nothing! In my opinion it's a pretty good blog. Good onsite SEO, good content, good pictures, great all round starter site marketed for newbies, experienced IMers and people looking to build private blog networks!

Any advice as to where I went wrong would be great! I don't want to publicly give the URL but if you want to take a look at the blog I'll send a link.

    Thanks.

It's in the 'starter sites' section. New websites less than a few months old with very little traffic. This section isn't for big established websites, it's for sites for people to get started on. Therefore blogs in this section don't have earnings and very little traffic. But thanks for your input anyway.
