Flickr attribution question

Obviously, if you embed a flickr image in a post, you're supposed to link back with the correct attribution.

However, does anyone know what the correct protocol is for images that are stored in the wordpress media library?

You can have them stored in your library just remember when you actually use it which flickr member you got it from and put "photo credit: [insert name and hyperlink back]

I have a question: I added around 10 pictures from flickr on my homepage. So Do I need to add the attribution 10 times?

If yes, can I add it in the footer? (all 10 hyperlinks)

And do I need to hyperlink only to homepage of the flickr? or where else?

You will have to give attribution for each image unless all are from the same person. Why not use pixabay.com as you don't need attribution for those, i use it daily

btw by downloading them to your media library and using them, you are not embedding them but using them without usage rights. only if the licence allowed you to do that (and even then I find that many times people upload things on flickr they found elsewhere and just share it as creative commons).


Embedding is allowed via their embed tool f.e.
