flat file CMS vs Database driven CMS

Which one is better for authority sites? How secure are flat file cms sites? What is best cms you recommend apart from wordpress.

Both are equally as secure, and both have the same potential as authority sites.

I use nibbleblog, uses an xml file for it's database, ranks extremely well, and is much faster than a wordpress site.
