Adbrite here, not making all that much at the moment, but the traffic is growing - as with anything in life nothing is free and good things come to those who wait!
Flash games are competitive - but also have a wide audience, so here's hoping! If anyone wants to share ideas or try and work together on anything I'd be more than happy to.

Well, you may make some, but compared to how much you could make through other sources it's nothing. I actually started making online game websites when I was 12 or 14 and was slightly successful because I was so young so I didn't expect to earn much, and I had all the time in the world. I would spend 8 hours a day adding games and marketing it. I'll talk to you more on skype if you'd like.
Here's the deal... to succeed now you need to create your own games unless you find a great niche. I have some sites makes a couple bucks a day but $5 a day is really the best your going to get with a generic online games site.

Actually I have been thinking about getting into this niche as well. I am reading all the comments above, so it seems, vps, a game niche that is very targeted and wordpress will do as well. I was thinking about giving away prizes, maybe credits, to get gifts but have to be careful due to bots etc. Keep the discussion going. BTW, you can get dropped domains just make sure they were not spammed or blacklisted domains.

Most of the information is about ATS scripts, less about WP, but I guess that makes sense since not many flash games sites are using WP.
BTW, I would strongly suggest to catch up on the latest Google updates, a lot of the old techniques may lead to punishment today.

My formula
1. Old flash games domain
2. Private network with unique content.
3. Aged/New Web 2.0s with unique content.
4. SEO SpyGlass - I check all top 5 websites and drop my link where there is PR and low OBL
5. SB scraping different footprints with main kw and long tails. PR checker/OBL checker - than manual commenting.
I target niches from 50 000-500 000 exact US matches/monthly. There is some decent traffic from UK and Australia for some niches.

I made a website called AmazingSlacker but I made it with webs. After reading this thread im getting the feeling I shouldn't have done that. I'm still within the 30 day money back garuntee so should I get a refund. I usually use SWF files I could really use some help

Good scripts to use are:

Either have a custom theme designed or Google one.
SEO for games sites is the long term goal however you can build a huge following using sites like FaceBook and YouTube.
As your social following grows the traffic will.
But in the ned your long term goal is free easy google traffic.
Good luck as this niche is flooded but flooded with crappy sites so its not hard to grow a decent following and the money is there to be made with adsense and cpm networks.
