After penguin 4 update, I went back and changed majority of my backlinks in my own PBN to branded, generic and URL based anchors. I think I have overdone this and my backlink ratio for my keyword is way too low.

If I want to go back and update those blogs, what is the best option:
  1. option 1: change the link from generic/branded/URL to exact match keyword?
  2. option 2: leave those geneirc/branded/url keyword in each PBN, and introduce new exact match keyword backlinks? if I do, this then from each PBN, i would have 2 links to my money site. Please do note that I have about more than 10 articles in each PBN, and in total for each PBN i have about 2 follow links and about 8 or so no-follow links to related authoritative sites.
  3. option 3: do option 2, but after few weeks delete the generic/branded/url keyword, so that I would have only backlink to my money site. The negative side of this is that I will be reducing the ratio from the branded, generic, url based keywords

any suggestion is appreciated.

Changing anchor text is a sure fire way to tank your rankings. Add....don't remove!

on a related question, would changing anchor word for a generic keyword have a negative impact? for example: "please visit this website" change to "please click here"?

Dear mate,

From an SEO perspective, it’s a waste to use generic keywords.
