Fixing an Old hit domain

Hi guys, ho can one know if an old domain was hit by Google and other search engines and if so how can one fix them ?
any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks

well, did you lose rankings / traffic or not? If you did, you got penalized, if not you weren't

how can one fix them ?
find out which update harmed your site and fix what the update broke. This is pretty general stuff, I know, but we have no detailed info about your site, which is why I couldn't get into details :)

I'm assuming you don't yet own or run a site with the domain. You want to use the 'aged' domain. I'll check if there's anytime the site drops sharply in traffic/ranking even though it was live.

That would be a sign. Depends on what was the cause, you may not need any fix asides building a better quality site with content that's well optimized. If the issues are manual penalty, then you may need to fix whatever issue it was penalized for.
