What are some major failing that you're seeing from my onpage?

I am using keywords in titles, h1s, image alts, with decent keyword density, 100% original, non-complex content. Internal links in my articles.
Have JSON+LD schema .etc.

My site just gone through migration so some things missing like my page speed opti for mobiles, and SSL.. But have been running pagespeed insights to optimise speed prior to this, religiously

What direction should I delve deeper into?

@True Miller I cant do a full audit, however I've just checked 3 articles at random that seem keyword orientated, your competition are smashing you on words, on one article you have 371 words, another 873, and another 1300 but top ranking has 2400 words.

If your not writing enough content, my general assumption is your onpage SEO knowledge is bad, you need to study onpage more.

That was literally my first glance as well, so the likeliness of multiple technical issues is quite high.

Take a break from the website, spend a few months studying SEO especially technical SEO in depth, and then revisit your site, and I guarentee you will be fixing issues left right and centre. Stop wasting your efforts writing without the knowledge of the algorithm. It's the best thing you will do.

Articles with 371 words will actually hurt your rankings for everything else, you need to noindex them to avoid thin content or bulk them up.

Your site is 5 years old, yet you only have 52k words on it, I do that in 2 months.

SEO is not easy man, I feel like if you truly have spent 5 years on this, then you definitely have not studied SEO past the beginner level, and with 52k words? You haven't written much content either. Your site is a very small site.

With regards to thin content, I understand it will not rank well.
I have been mostly rewriting and updating my content over the years, adding, removing, updating.
I will pay more attention to this moving forward though, thanks!

I saw your website is Truemiller dot com right?

you 5 year old site casts a wide net across SEVERAL of the MOST HIGHLY competitive niches in existance including SEO, MMO, Crypto, CPA Marketing, ebay and Social Media. Getting it to rank for ONE of those if it was completely focused on any one of those specific subjects would be extremely difficult (but a lot easier laser focused than spread out amongst all of those) - you mentioned that our brand new site is in a completely separate niche, which niche would that be?

I didn't delve too deeply into the site, but I did notice that the initial load time took a WHILE on my laptop (which has 16G of Ram and an octa core processor) - and there is a lot going on graphically with the homepage slide show.. perhaps speeding up the page loading speed would help your rankings? Also, how is your bounce rate and your average visit duration? I have a sneaking suspicion that if you got rid of some of the flashiness and made it quicker and more funcitonal you would see lower bounce rates, more engagement and then higher rankings (in that order).

I also took the liberty of running a site audit through a software I own. for you.. I attached the pdf report as well

That's correct, that is my site.
From the SEO report it states it's an A+ in performance. I had however previously mentioned that i've just done a site migration, and some things are currently down, for example my script optimisations have been turned off .etc
Mobile is currently appauling on pagespeed insights due to that!

Generally I have tried to target exact match, long tail terms. For example, CPAGrip Tutorial or CPAGrip Review, I have, in the pasted, rank high for these terms. But saw a huge drop off site-wide a few months back. See above.

I am not aiming to rank for "make money online", but I am aiming for the long tails in and around that.

I really appreciate your two-cents though, thank you!

No my dude, im trying to be as clear as possible here to give you a reality check.

Your onpage SEO is awful and that is the sole reason you are not ranking, you have no content, you have thin content, my 3 month site has more words than your 5 year old site. Study onpage SEO, get 10x more content written than you have now across your whole site, do much bigger articles, and I can tell you your site will grow fast.

I'm saying this to be helpful, I know your looking for an easy option to fix this, but onpage SEO and content is your biggest problem, and until you fix that, don't expect growth. I'm not really sure how its taken 5 years to write 52k words, thats 5k words a year, thats 500 words a month you write. Why would google rank a site that produces 500 words a month on average? Considering all the categories you have too, theres no topical relevancy there.

Seriously, reevaluate your knowledge, you don't have enough. You need to study a lot more in depth. I'm just trying to be kind by giving you a reality check.
 
They are right, but they didn't mention one important thing. That is, that you are not targetting specific keywords with your article, plus your articles have a low word count.

Having the article "5 tips to invest bitcoin" with 500 words might be helpful to readers, but it won't rank you, as you don't really target keywords with searches and have low word count.

On the other hand article like "Investing in bitcoin: Ultimate Guide that will make you rich" with 3000 words, where you mention all keywords from "bitcoin investment" to "make money with bitcoin" will rank you better.

You did choose a competitive niche, but there are still keywords that are easier to rank, ahrefs keyword explorer is a good tool to easily find good keywords.

I cleared that up above, but I feel he is disregarding it in hopes for a easier solution.

H1, permalink, keyword at top of page, literred throughout, H2s with exact search questions, images, internal linking on page and to and from other articles..

The fact that everything ranking for "CPAGrip Tutorial" in top 7 is youtube videos, and 9th is lifehacker which is actually your guest post? Which is 5k words vs your article of 1k words? Honestly, study onpage SEO, and then your issues will become very visible.
 
I would like to add that just because you have an A+ rating, doesn't mean your on-page SEO is good. It just means your Technical on-page SEO is good, there is a lot more to it.

Your Cpa review page has only 500 words, meaning not a good on-page optimization from content perspective and low time on site and the title is not that catchy, meaning fewer people click on your article and it drops down in searches over time. etc

See how his article has catchy title?

If you were googling cpagrip review, would you rather click on his article, or "CPAGrip Review with 2020 Payment Proof"?

It's not a good article SEO wise. Also, you don't build new quality links that would boost your SERP.

I would also recommend that you read every article on backlinko.

They have something like less than 50 articles, yet they rank for many keywords. It's better to have 50 amazing articles that go in-depth of every sub-topic than to have 500 short articles with a couple of images.

Instead of having two separate articles (or possibly more) about cpa grip, one being cpa grip review, other how to make money with cpa grip, it's much better to write one amazing article that will cover all sub-topics about cpagrip. Makes sense?
