hey guys, I'm in sort of a dilemma because all of a sudden my INTERNAL pages ARE NOT FOUND. I get a 404 error message. EVERYTHING but my home page works.
here's what I did that *might* have caused this problem:
- i tried upgrading my wordpress, but i got a memory exhausted error
- i increased the memory from 32M to 96M on wp-settings.
- i created a php.ini file and uploaded onto public_html.
- i deleted it shortly after.
- i replaced the htaccess with something i thought would help increase memory, it didnt do anything, so i uploaded the original htaccess file.
i contacted my hosting service and they just told me that "the path requested does NOT EXIST" and that "we have not found DIRECTORY NAMES CORRESPONDING TO THE WEBSITE", "make sure the correct files are in the correct location".
if anyone has had experience with this issue and could guide me through to fix this, either through instant messaging or phone, i would gladly pay $20.
