I hope this is in the right place, it seemed the most fitting.

I was thinking about selling on Fiverr. Does anyone here do that? Is it lucrative?

I would basically be making custom beats / instrumentals and setting a deadline of 2 days. Mostly for Podcasts, Youtube tutorials, flash games, anything! Does this sound like anything that would go anywhere? Just some general opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm on Fiverr right now (Intro Video's + Video Editing), I started about two months ago and I've made an average of roughly $130.00 a month. Most of the business I get is from obviously from internet marketers.

Here are a couple of tips...
* Whatever your selling, try to target internet marketers (Tons of them on Fiverr = more business).
* Make a video promoting what your selling (People Like Videos).
* At first try to offer your gig in 24hrs just to build up some good reviews (Once you have about 10-15 good reviews you can offer your service in 2 days).
* Respond to messages, and make people feel comfortable as this will help you get good reviews (I've only sold a little over 50 and some up-sells but I'm at 100% on all my gigs because I take the time to satisfy my customer).
* Here's a secret that I think helped me get my first sale..."Collect" (the heart button) all the top users selling something identical or in the same niche as you in a group then add your gig(s) last so they'll be at the top. Now if someone see's your collection you'll be right at the top which should give you more views which = more sales.

Get your gig up on clones so you can charge more. On MCJ we do a lot of music promo stuff....

I can tell you that your gig would do well on my clone
 
I've been on Fiverr for 2 months so I can't really give you as much as advice as older members, but there is some interest in music and melodies. I recommend you to check for most popular (top rated) gigs by searching for things like "custom beat" etc. Make sure you have a good picture for every gig that stands out when in search results, have an avatar and make sure your gigs are descriptive and contain the keyword you want to rank for. It's easy to be number one, regardless of how many orders you have had.

Also check out AudioJungle, it's one of the best places to sell sounds and songs!

The problem I see with clones is they can't compete with Fiverr's traffic. Sure you can charge 10, 15, 20 dollars but if no one's on those sites who's gonna order? I would stick to fiverr cause you can eventually add up-sells and the traffic beats any clone site by miles.
Just my 2 cents.

Hmmm.....I have plenty of sellers that are now making a full time income on MCJ.

I am getting plenty of quality traffic into it.

I am always stumped when someone (and lots of people see it how you see it) says "Don't bother taking 10 minutes to post a job somewhere other than fiverr because you will just be wasting time"

Waste what time?

That is what IM is all about, you throw a tremendous amount of SHIT all over the wall and whatever sticks you go with it.

It is free to post. Why would you not try it? That makes no sense.
 
Most of the easy gig's don't work, the buyers at fiverr are looking for services rather than information.

You should look at the gig's that appear on the front page, and what people are looking for in the RHS with the green background. It's true that boobs and a banner will sell, but not all us have been given such assets.

Also remember to factor in that fiverr take $1, so you're take home is only $4 per gig, and you need to put in hard work to get the thumbs up rating to gain trust and get people ordering.

The only information products I've seen do well are in the weight loss niche, where diet plans and work out routines are being sold.

As others have said treat this as a loss leader to get connections with clients who would be interested in hiring you for bigger projects.

I just get tired of seeing posts here where people say "I posted to fiverr and got no sales, I posted to clones and got no sales".

If you are good at IM, you BYOT.....you bring your own traffic.

I have gigs up on fiverr that have made thousands of dollars because I brought my own traffic. I have gigs up on MyCheapJobs that have made thousands, because I drive traffic to them.

Stop blaming the platforms your gigs are on when it is you that can't sell.

If your gig is good and you drop traffic on it, your gig will sell.

If you suck and all you did was push the submit button, guess what? Nothing is going to happen.
 
Yes, Fiverr is really cool. Offer what you can submit really fast. This increases the chance of earning a lot of money. Earlier Fiverr was better, but still it is good enough.

In each Fiverr thread you press your worthless MCJ site, horrible.

Some facts / opinion from my site:

.) if I have to drive traffic to the site (like stupid clone sites), then the site is worthless for me, the reason why i work with fiverr is, that THEY have traffic.
i can drive my traffic better on my own site and save 1 USD / gig

.) compare Fiverr with any clone sites, make the same GIG there and compare it after 1 month, you will see, the clone site brings you - in the mostly time - "nothing"

.) XXXX spam income message on the clone site, if you report them and look 1 week later, the user are still available

back to topic:
try it, you only loose time for making the GIG, no inveting or something other.

On BHW there are so many tipps about: how have a GIG to look like, wich words, wich description etc. read/learn/make.

If someone speak about experience, there is no need to have only "ideas" but anyway, i am so lucky, that you, with your highly ideas, are here :)
 
Fiverr is an kind of blessed place for noobs or freshers in IM to get little earning through it.
The only idea is what unique service you can provide and why you think people will buy?
If you know people would definitely buy then your service will be an skyrock service on fiver, its just that your gig should sell itself.

Yes, you can sell on fiverr. And with fiverr, there is a scope to make tons of money.
