Yes. They have come with a new things named project catalogue which is inspired from fiverr. So yes it is there to break it.
I suppose you should make some changes. That will work just fine. Keeping the same is not a good idea at all let alone banning or blocking issue.

Upwork's project and fiver's gigs are different in size so try to create both separately to avoid confusion.

Copying Fiverr gig content to Upwork is against their policies, and doing so can result in account suspension or termination for both platforms.

No it is not a big issue , You can copy all data from Fiverr for upwork, Just edit few descriptions.

From a buyer's perspective, I prefer Fiverr as I love to just pay once and get something done. But most Upwork contract especially those involving dev. lock you in milestones (good for the developers tho).

I have never seen a site as ridiculous as Fiverr, they even suspend my buyer accounts.
