I just received this email from fiverr:

Hi user,
We are sorry, but your gig '""""""' did not pass our moderators' review. The reasons are:

  • The topic of your gig is currently not accepted. Our moderators keep the site's contents fresh by promoting different gig topics periodically. You are welcomed to submit another gig of a different topic or theme
Thanks,

The Fiverr Editorial Team
This is the first time it happens, the gig is not popular but it pays the webhosting costs, nothing phishy or breaking the terms. Now I have no option but to delete the gig although it's unpublished.

Has this happened anyone?

Can you paste the gig description here ?

Porn isnt allowed on fiverr :-)

Take your time to post something useful on the forum instead of posting spam to raise your post count. No, it's not porn related at all.

The description is like of any other gig, nothing special with mine.

have you modified the gig recently? if you modify a gig, not every time, but sometimes it needs to go through moderation again and it can happen that they don't approve it even if it was approved before

i know because most of my gigs are 2 years old and when i tried to modify some of them, they disapproved a few which were approved before

if it's not the case, maybe your gig got reported, i don't think fiverr team would manually review already approved gigs w/o you modifying it and triggering moderation

Not very recently but a week ago I modified the requirements to clear up what is required as it seemed to be confusing some people. Though I can say the gig picture is from google images but the reason they gave me is different.

I had a gig on there that after a week (and a good earner for Fiverr!) got denied with the reason being trademark / copyright specified in the email. Its my own software and provied it to which Fiverr told me the actual reason was the gig wasn't unique enough.

Now as its only me and one reseller selling this type of gig I questioned them on the unique point, showing them other gigs have hundreds of people offering the same things.

Asked them to explain why if it was a uniqueness problem, why was I told it was a copyright thing.

They are full of shit - make up reasons when they want. My support ticket now keeps changing to 'awaiting your reply' without them commenting.

I know why it was canned, down to someone having a dig at me for catching them out...

Here's a reply from them:

We are still improving our process, and in the meanwhile, still adjusting to accommodate software, copyrights, and similar issues. That's why we currently cannot approve your gig. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please submit a new gig for our editors to review.
I say bullshit on this. The only infringing was the gig picture which 99.9% of the other gigs do too.

It's kind of hard for us to make a determination without seeing it...

Thats the follow up email I had from them as well :)

Fiverr's support sucks and i'll write it 200 more times that they sucks. Old gig with unique picture, video, 200+ sales go on review everytime i change a little word in it (have to wait 12 hours to get it online). Explanation: it must go through moderation process.

By the way open new gig with almost the same details as the first one, it works from me. Make 2 gigs just in case and don't use too much special characters, they trigger the moderation thing.

That's why you keep editing the gig until you succeed - if you leave it to go to moderation, nothing good will happen. It happens all the time to me and it's usually a word or two that trigger some of their filters, I just keep changing the title, description, etc. until the gig is saved and not grayed out and "holding for moderation"

They just banned my support account - they didn't respond to my questions just set it to 'awaiting your reply', so I replied with a '.' just to put the ball back in their court.

Think they got pissed as I caught them out a bit with their contradictory replies....so all suspended but only on the support side (so far)

Have just tweeted their CEO to see how he feels about that happening :)

There customer support sucks alot. My account was blocked and i asked them the main reason cause i know i always play safe they never give me the main reason, they only replied that you have break our violation w/o knowing the particular reason for closing my account

when you submit new gigs, yes, but that's also why you should think twice before editing a successful gig which already has tons of positive feedbacks, it may never go live again...
