I'm fed up with the amount of posts claiming that there is no money to be made on fiverr. They are totally wrong and there are hundreds to be made if not thousands. I will give you loads of useful tips so you can create a successful gig. 1. Offer something that not everyone is offering. (obvious one) 2. If you are in a competition, try to stand out as much as possible. 3. Give realistic numbers, offering 50k backlinks for $5 will result in $0 income. Why do companies spend thousands of dollars on backlinks when they can get them for $5? Sorry but you got to be realistic. Offer what you really can deliver, at least one random person will purchase and leave you positive feedback. 4. Trigger confidence in the person, you want the person to order from you, what are the factors for the trigger? You got to guarantee what you are offering, this way, people will know that it's guaranteed and if you fail to deliver, they will submit you negative feedback and you will lose potential customers, which you don't want, they think that way. Tell them that what they are receiving is of true value and not just some compiled crap. 5. Offer bonuses for multiple orders. Yes, this definitely helps, I got 2 2x orders within a week of publishing. 6. Be responsive and respectful, I have found out that 1 out of 5 customers will return and order more from you. Respond to each question in the feedback, this shows that you are responsive. 7. Capitalize words such as: REAL, GUARANTEED, BONUS, VALUE. But not everything, this will scare people off. 8. Don't use the same picture as others, when googling, scroll down a few more pages and get a relevant picture. 9. Add as much relevant tags as you can, put yourself in the buyer shoe and think what he would type in the search field. If you want help there, go to google keyword tool and type the main keyword, you will get many other relevant keywords. 10. Whatever you are going to offer, make sure it has huge demand. Offering services such as writing a company's name in magic crayons, won't give you much/any sales. Think yourself, what would a typical webmaster search for? Perhaps backlinks, but then the competition is very high.. What about short blog post on a high traffic website with backlink? YES! That's what a typical webmaster wants. 11. Keep in mind that all people who visit fiverr looking for something definitely got money to spend. 12. Deliver in time! People are too scared of being ripped off. Are you at work? Set up your mobile phone to alert you whenever you receive an order. 13. The title is the first impression, use as many words as you can. 14. Use proper english, no words such as "ur" "omg". Also use proper spacing and punctuation, the buyer will be skeptic whether to buy because of the improfessional typing. Sorry but everything counts. 15. Maximum delivery time should be set to 2, (recommended 1). People are becoming more and more impatient. Many MANY other similar gigs to mine have not got a single order because of this. 16. Be as descriptive as possible and honest. People want to see the exact results as mentioned in the description, and if you overdeliver, they will be more than happy. 17. The one dollar fee per gig is nothing, PayPal takes at least $0.5 out in fees and afterall, fiverr is a great marketplace. It's becoming harder and harder to market on forums because of more strict site owners. I won't disclose my gig, I don't want competition, but do what you are capable of doing. All the feedback I received is positive until now. I've tweaked my gig over 50 times to see what works best. My gig is converting at 5%! And I have not made a single promotion. At first, I did not expect any orders at all, but just after a short time, the orders started kicking in. Stop purchasing those fiverr ebooks in hope of big money, there are no secrets. Do what I mentioned above and I hope you have a successful business. For those who are having hard time finding something profitable to offer: You can look at the Buyer Requests or Request Gigs lists which are usually located to the right, note down what people are looking for, refresh the page, add few more notes, then refresh again, start scoring the demand for each service, refresh and score again, and after a while you'll see what people are exactly looking for. Then follow my tips and you should be making sales.
