I have been looking at the fiverr ranking system as its intricacies intrigued me. It seems to be almost completely governed by keyword stuffing/user "rank".

As i cant gain rank without sales and i cant get sales without ranking there i need to find a way to get sales outside fiverr.

Has anyone found a good place other than fiverr itself to advertise a fiverr gig?

I have been for several weeks, I need two more sale for a level 2 seller...

The thing is i was getting regular sale up until about a week ago and the bam... no more views, the listing has jumped from page 1 to page 5, back again, and all over the place.

Does anyone have any insight about the ranking?
 
Their ranings system doesn't work, they have strange algorythms and fiverr support can give boost to different gigs
 
I found keyword stuffing the tags boosted me to page two for guest post. Now its just a matter of getting level 1 etc...

Also waiting on my second and third site to get pagerank.

Very new to this.

I would suggest promoting your fiverr gig on niche specific site, writing articles, some offline marketing never hurts, a couple of youtube videos.... and then stick to the combination that works the best...
 
You can always try a solo ad to a list. Around 80 bucks for 250 clicks.

If your gig is really compelling and you spell out exactly what it does in the copy then you'll get a ton of orders.

Would take 20 orders to break even but if you're in it for the long term its worth it.

This is the worst promotion idea I've ever seen when it comes to Fiverr.

The OP better off buying his own gigs using other accounts (+proxies) then rating up his gigs.

I never had to do any promotion myself, I just make my gigs as unique as possible (title, description, image, free gigs on bulk orders).

Please explain how choosing the right list and sending what is effectively targeted traffic can be the "worst promotion idea"?

Ever heard of upsells?

Ever heard of repeat business? Building a list?

I guess not. Good luck building a business bro.

We're talking fiverr here. $80 is too much to spend to kick-start the sales.
 
I had a gig on the first page with a couple of orders a day and now it doesn't even show up, the search system is messed up.

lol if you think $80 is too much to invest in starting a business, good luck to you :D

fiverr is not small change. It's low price, high volume.

It's not that I'm tightfisted about it, but why spend more money when there are cheaper alternatives to bring in the sales?

Buying your own gigs is a better way as you pay only $1 per review, which means 80 guaranteed positive reviews on your gig, meanwhile your method was to buy emails to be sent which does not even guarantee a sale, not to talk about positive reviews.

And both of them won't bring you extra sales but rank you higher, so mine is cheaper.
 
My method will get not just reviews but also sales, upsells, referrals and repeat sales.

And if a person can't convert a single one of those 250 clicks into just one $5 purchase then they shouldn't be doing any kind of marketing.
 
I'm no expert at this, but if you set your price points carefully, you can entice buyers to get Gig Extras. I get Gig Extras on about 30-50% of my orders, and I'm talking $10-20 upsells per gig. So, if you have your Gigs set up properly, I would say go ahead and spend $80 to advertise ... but don't do so unless you have a plan in place on how to convert your visitors and upsell them.

Personally I haven't done any promotions, I just offered something decent that people are looking for, give them what they want and more, and developed my own system for doing things quickly so that it is time efficient. Be professional and treat it like a business.
