Curious... are your fiverr gigs selling really shitty the last week or so? I've been a HUGE decrease in sales over the last 10 days now across all my sites. I am wondering if anyone else has seen their gigs drop, or unfortunately... is it just me? Every account I have is now a Level 2 or higher.

I had a gig doing manual blog comments and when I posted it I got a sale or two but then it died out. Then I made a gig offering two PR4 links and got a sale. And after 3 weeks (today) I made another gig and got a sale. It's nothing extraordinary but it lets me buy other services. I'm sure a Jr. VIP like yourself has better gigs so if you made a new one every so often, your reputation would go up even more. I think people just click 'new' because they don't want something flooded.

This is all caused by the mass hysteria Google has caused with the latest Panda update. People are waiting to order link building because they aren't sure what is causing penalties and wht isn't. They re waiting for people to do some studies for the next month or two.

Get into selling social networking triggers like Facebook likes, +1s, and retweets. That's the stuff I'm buying right now.

Exactly

Wow this is probably on the money!

I tired selling that stuff but no one has bought anything from me :(
I can provide them fast too but still no gigs have been bought. Idk I see people getting tons of orders for the same amount of fans but for some reason mines are not going any-ware.

I'm only a buyer on there but do they offer a way for you to prove yourself with social network trigger offers? Like offer the first 25 free? Not sure, but that's what I'd recommend and offer MORE likes after a purchase if they give you a positive review and a star.

Well, at least it's not just me. I thought I was doing something wrong. SEOScott makes a good point. I myself purchase quite a lot of social networking gigs on fiverr, so I know how popular it is. Maybe the days of 50-60 gigs per day (across my accounts) are over, so it's time to re-focus my attention on other stuff.

It's because I am stealing all of your customers.... J/K I've seen a drop in sales too. Hot weather recently, maybe everyone is outside?

I used to pull about 10 orders a day and now it's more like 0.

I don't know if fiverr just lost customers or I ran out of luck. I kinda miss the fiverr sales but I moved on to bigger stuff. I still get some sales every now and then. I got a customer this week who bought 9x my gig in a day but didn't get any since then.

Thank you for that insight, it never occurred to me. I guess the box interferes with my thinking more than I realize...

if you are using twitter and facebook gigs then i have also noticed drop down in their results

The majority of my orders are from repeat customers now. I get the odd order from a new user, but they're getting rarer and rarer.

i'm having spikes at the moment... a few days of 1, 2 or even 0 and then i get 10 all of a sudden at once..

Had few changes like 1 week ago but now is going good again, definitely Fiverr constant search changes and gigs rankings changes affect that + Google update.

I hope it's not too late to weigh in on this...

About that time I, too, noticed my sales dipping. I've only ever averaged about two sales a day - but that has been consistent since October of 2010. Suddenly around the end of March/beginning of April, those numbers dipped noticeably.

Along with all the reasons listed about, Fiverr had an article about them that appeared online around that time. I saw it on the first page of Yahoo - "How Fiverr.com is changing the creative economy $5 at a time."

The article could have caused an big increase in people jumping on the Fiverr bandwagon, creating more competition by increasing the amount of gigs available - resulting in less sales for everyone.

Interestingly when I used to make a bundle off of online dating affiliate programs, suddenly those sales slowed waaay down and never picked up again.

One other thing I've noticed about Fiverr - I've had several legitimate new gigs declined with these explanations:

We are sorry, but your gig 'consult with you to create and host your website' did not pass our moderators' review. The reasons are:

* Your gig title or description includes symbols that shouldn?t be there, may have TOO MANY CAPS CHARACTERS, grammatical or language errors, or just doesn?t seem to describe clearly enough the service you are providing

* The topic of your gig is currently not accepted. Our moderators keep the site?s contents fresh by promoting different gig topics periodically. You are welcomed to submit another gig of a different topic or theme

Another gig was declined with this explanation:

Your primary gig image should be changed. The image should be related to your gig?s topic. Using gig images with real samples of your work will usually get more attention and sales

I really enjoy working with Fiverr. Maybe they're cracking down on abusers. Who knows?
