Fiverr Question About My Gig

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

I'm new to Fiverr as a creator and I only do it in my spare time because I have a WAH day job and part-time graphic design job. Anyway, this guy ordered a card design from me 3 days ago, sent a PDF with instructions and a logo to work with. I started working on this project as soon as I got it, but I ran into some issues. I messaged the guy 4 different times within the 3 days asking him to clarify a few things to me, but he did not respond...AT ALL. So, I followed the PDF word for word and finished it last night. Sent the delivered work to him (including an extra file he could edit even though I normally charge for that) and still didn't hear anything. I get an email an hour ago saying he requested modification. My gig clearly states no modifications if there is no communication whatsoever between us. I tell him to purchase the gig again and we will go from there. He proceeded to tell me I am crazy/stupid/whatever else he can come up with for telling him to purchase it again and for me to either modify it or he will report me. WTF? He then tells me my work is terrible and not up to standards. Excuse me, I am being paid 5 dollars (4 after Fiverr fees) and delivered you top notch work. Sorry that my style (exactly what you asked for) is not up to your sh*tty standards. I'm kind of pissed tbh.

I need opinions on what to do from here because I don't want my Fiverr rep to go to sh*t just because some moron is well, being a moron.

Give him a refund the guy is probably trying to scam you.

I assumed he was scamming. I even called him out on it and he sent a whole paragraph back to me blasting my work and telling me I have no idea what I'm talking about.

To make sure it wont happen again, you can do like me.
When i'm giving them the work, i put a huge watermark with my name on it, and when they say its fine, i send the one without the watermark.

Try to satisfy him and do modifications for free.. you can build your reputation by this way..

You should discuss with him again. If he is not a scammer, try to find the best way to satisfy each other.

You must have to maintain positive rating in your gig otherwise you will not get new orders.just refund that guy or do work again if u want to.but make sure to maintain positive reviews.

Rather than saying "purchase my gig again", rather just remind him that modifications are not possible for whatever reason, and you would suggest refunding him instead.

Give him refund. This is the safe way, even I did the same thing for one of my client. He first ordered the gig without reading gig description and after I delivered the work he said this won't suite my company so I want refund. I did told anything because I had 100% feedback and I don't want to loose by messing with him just for $5.

So better give him refund and just start working on other project and posting new gigs.

I have made 15k from Fiverr and in my experience I would say you should either open up a 'mutual cancellation request', which he can accept for a refund, yes you will lose your $4 but it's only 4 bucks at the end of the day and if you don't do this and he leaves you negative feedback, it will harm you A LOT more in the long run. Alternatively, you can contact customer support, though this is usually hit or miss. Sometimes they are REALLY understanding and help out a lot though so don't be afraid to in the future. Anyway, I suggest just opening up a cancellation agreement.. Some people simply can't be pleased and you will find many of those people on Fiverr, as they expect professional work for next to nothing in payment..

I actually didn't say "purchase it again," I used different wording as to be professional about it.

In the end, he would not work with me on anything so we mutually canceled. Better than damaging my ratings. Thanks for the input everyone.

I think that you did the right thing about cancelling. I would just be on the lookout for these kind that want to scam you.
