"Heard of a little company called, Apple? Well, we’ve got THE one and only, Rob Janoff, designer of the iconic Apple logo, selling a Pro Gig on Fiverr."


Is Rob Janoff so hard up for work ?


So while getting rid of seo / smm type services, they're now going to try to up their game even more and really push their Fiverr Pro aspect.


I know this is a favourite topic of @Sherb.

Maybe Rob can create them a nice new logo, branding suggestion and see how they can change themselves in the eyes of people who always associate Fiverr with cheap, cheerful services which originally cost..... $5.

Feels like they are totally cannibalising their service if you ask me.

I’m giving up on fiverr now.
 
They are now trying to get a bigger piece of the overall pie of higher priced services etc. However, as most other I see Fiverr as a cheap platform for cheap stuff. Never bought anything with the upsells there as that defeated the purpose of being able to easily plan and know cost is $5-6 and ok for the quality I will get. At $30+ or whatever they charge, I am not so sure and Fiverr would be far from my first choice.

I just don't see people switching from UpWork etc. for bigger projects to $5er...

They should have kept fiverr as it was and launched a new company to compete with the higher tier freelancing sites.

Now it just feels messy and confusing - they don’t have a strong enough message for premium buyers and sellers, and they are posting off their existing customers.
 
Can't blame them for the Fiverr pro move. Much more fee's to obtain on $500 gig vs $5. The service got huge so their image has to match.
Seoclerks is probably happy about the seo/smm ban, And whatever extra traffic from people who don't want to pay "pro" prices.

I said; So while getting rid of seo / smm type services,

They have removed 3 of the biggest seo / smm sellers on there this past week.
 
What is so great about eaten apple logo? I would like to see the face of the hipsters who pay expensive fee for that kind of logo. Seriously it must be the same hipsters who pay millions for abstract painting

I imagine you could angle your way into a bit of publicity if he made your logo in a drawing like this though.

This is spot on IMO. They should've gone with a different brand for the more expensive services. Fiverr was simple and to the point, $5 for anything.
 
They're sabotaging themselves. Why would I use Fiverr Pro when I can use UpWork, Freelancer, 99Designs, or a local graphic designer. Not to mention they're eliminating a lot of the different types of gigs that people used to offer such as SEO services. Sucks, I made my first chunk of money online with Fiverr, around $5000.00 CAD.
