Fiverr increased their fees.. again?

You're not wrong, but you also overreact.

Yes, some disabilities are not a choice, but nowadays, stupidity is the easy choice the big majority aspire to.

I've witnessed way too many "delicate" cases of, and I quote, "idiocy," as the person above you said. Take, for example, people who can't understand that a vaccine may save their kids' lives(this is just an example).

People who are born with all kinds of sicknesses didn't have a choice. But what about those who can think but still act like they're sick? Man, it's easy to generalize, but it's so hard to comprehend that a "closed mind" is the actual sickness. I don't categorize myself as smart. I think that I am stupid, but that's because I can't possibly know everything. Hell, I don't know much besides things I've seen myself!

The world's leading trend - also called "I won't open my mind to more possibilities, it's easier to keep going the same way, make other people suffer coz they don't matter" kind of thing. C'mon man!

Those "stupid" people should suffer? No, they shouldn't. Should they be taught? Yes! This is where our world fails. It all became so freaking... routinely that it makes me want to head-bang the first wall I see.

An example of what I'm talking about: Picking your president because everyone thought of joking around. Heh? Haha.

Yes, Stupidity should be schooled!

You do know that Fiverr is a public company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, right?

Those that manage it are making sure that the shareholders are happy.

As to minding greed, when it affects me I'm certainly not a fan. When it does not it is not any of my business.

As to idiocy (your initial term was stupid people) deserving to suffer you may not realize that most do not have a say in how smart or stupid they are and that kid of blanket statement is still pretty harsh in my opinion.

You have extrapolated things out beyond what I was responding to and past what I actually understand in your response.

I never said stupid people should not be taught but that was not the point I was responding to either. The person above said they should suffer because they are stupid and I think that is harsh as I stated above, "most do not have a say in how smart or stupid they are". I merely stayed on point there.

I have no clue as to where that came from if that is a response to my comments but my not being part of the "Make Fiverr Lower Their Fees!" movement is not much different than me not being a part of the "Force All People to Recycle!" movement. We recycle in our home as that is my corner of the world but imposing my belief (and I am not even sure that I believe that the recycled stuff is actually recycled) that it is something we should do on the rest of the world is not something I would consider doing.

One has to pick their battles while considering their knowledge base, abilities and time factors.

I've not seen Fiverr's balance sheet, nor could I understand it I am sure as it is probably 900 pages, so I do not know if their fees are justified. Again, though I do not care enough to want to delve into that aspect of IM commerce.

Even if I did believe after seeing their P&L that their fees were excessive I would not take the time to be a part of that movement to get their fees lowered as I have other fish on the grill to cook that affect my world. I'm not saying, "F the rest of the world and let them suffer", I am saying I can do what I can do and what I cannot do I don't do.

Extrapolating that out to "make other people suffer coz they do not matter" is not even close to what I was saying nor something that is a part of my mindset.

Fiverr's fees are higher than they were X amount of years ago when they started. If one shops there and does not like it move to another platform.

If one sells there and it is cutting into their revenue, pivot and find other avenues. Heck, the IM world has always been one where you need to be looking at the next opportunity and other opportunities in order to maintain your revenue stream. This is no different.

Fiverr are doing this kind of dirty business because they know that there is no competition in market.
First they charge us Service Fees + They Charges the Gig Seller Some amount for every gig they sell.
Fiverr = Fraud( Eating Money from both sides)
Fiverr Should be used only to find seller and share each other details and Contact Seller Directly and Pay Through Paypal to Avoid Fraud.

welcome to fiver where we charge 7$ --- name change req

Their policy really su*ks. Imagine for a small task client has to pay $7.5 while freelancer earns $4 and marketplace fee is nearly 50% of the client budget each time. Thank God I already quite.

I am currently a seller on fiverr that does finance writing and since mid 2020, its been going down hill fast, especially after the implemented the gig advertising where only the top sellers can pay fiverr even more money besides the 20% they take to advertise to new buyers. Saw a significant reduction in my orders.

They do have plenty of competition like upwork, freelancer, and freeup so its not like they have a monopoly on the market. Funny thing is, despite all of their fees and cuts, they are still losing millions.

I used Freelancer before Fiverr and it charged more than Fiverr..

Well that is just how most company work, maximize earning, fuck them all. As long profit increase they don't care anything. When profit go down, than they will do something to increase it. If they got complain, they won't care, as long it not decrease their profit. Not to mention public listed company biggest piority is their stakeholder, not customer.

Of course, they have shareholders to answer to! How do you think the rich shareholders of fiverr are going to get richer?

Fiverr is as greedy as Flippa. Once they know they dont have much competition, they think they can do whatever they want to. But they forget that good times dont last forever.

Every company has its peak and I think Fiverr has got it there. It will only go down from here.

Used them slightly before the fee increase for a few good backlinks but now it's getting too much now. Not going to order anything from now.

I think they want to get rid of low-cost gigs like 5 dollars and 10 dollar gigs. If the customer is paying $100 for a task he won't mind paying a couple of extra dollars. but if the customer is buying $5 gig it will look odd for the customer paying an extra couple of dollars.
