Fiverr.com Crazy sales tactics

site sucks i have 12 gigs open not 1 sale i think the site is a scam
fiverr is definitely not a scam, you can have countless gigs without any sale, if people are not interested in them...
you either have to make something unique, which is become harder and harder because there are more and more seller using the site day by day or you can make gigs which are already on fiverr (facebook, twitter, SEO services), but if you want orders, it won't be enough, because there are already successful gigs offering similar to your services, so you have to offer something more (if somebody tweets to his/her 50.000 followers, you should tweet to 75.000 followers and/or offer another gig of yours for free or any other free bonus as you will compete against already successful sellers)
you can see the featured gigs, they're popular, so you can have some kind of idea what people are looking for there which is usually some kind of SEO service, IM related thing and not some crazy stuff which may sound good at first hearing
so browse fiverr for successful gigs with lots of reviews, browse bhw for tips, there are quite a few thread by now dedicating to fiverr and in the download section there are also some guide about fiverr

I know it's not a lot and the 14 day clearing time sucks, but I've made about $70 in about 12 hours after signing up. Can't believe it. Advertising voiceovers and some light logo work.
Wow are you serious? Lol I'd love to make 70$ in 12 hours.

Just tried this thing. I actually got a sale within 45mins!! lol

I really haven't had much luck with fiverr either, I have about 6 gigs and only made one sale.

It's true you really have to try and think outside the box.

I'm no expert in these things, but I've made well over $100 in the 4 days I've been a member. The problem with fiverr is that the really successful gigs involve a lot of work. If you have 10000 twitter followers you can make a fair amount just by tweeting, if not your going to have to get creative and offer ebooks or logo design etc.

I'm able to whip up really decent logo's in under 15 mins a pop which makes it worthwhile, but I'm hoping my ebook sales will go up.

The other issue is that you'll get lost in the listings within an hour or two, so you will need to create template gigs and delete/re-submit the ones that don't perform immediately!

Damn, I'd give em more than 24 hours before I say their support is horrible. It's not like it's some big company with 24 hour customer service staff.

There support is horrible. I was "experimenting" a method of getting more customers and got blocked from sending messages.

Contacted support 2-5 times so far, over 24 hours, nothing

Luckily, sales keep rolling in but they haven't responded to any requests.

Well, McDonald's is always hiring. Seriously, you can make more than that slingin BigMacs, and you'll get a cool uniform to wear, lol. Not knockin Fiverr, just sayin.

this 'think outside the box' makes me crazy and i'm guessing if more and more people starts to think outside the box, there'll be more room inside the box, so maybe sometime soon it's worth to think inside rather than outside

and it is a very good idea what the above poster said: delete/resubmit your not too successful gigs continously, because it get buried in a short time

To get maximum sale list your gigs on all 4 top sites (one dedicated to BHW member's too) and multiply the sales.

Also you can take gig from one site place it for sale on other site for higher price. Once you get sale, order same gig from other site. Kind of gigs arbitrage.

Thanks.

HAHA! Thanks! I have 4-5 gigs posted...not much but making $10-$15 a day off the start....this is MUCH easier then stupid eBay!

At some of the "scam" claimers... I've used Fiverr tons of times (5-10) and was satisfied. It's a legit company also, ... do some research.

Thanks for the info I'm thinking to start gig to there is teere link building has demand

As said, if you can do gig arbitrage, you can easily earn $20/day without actually doing anything yourself.

I have used fiverr similar to what carsonrathi said but like this. I go to forums I have built a rep on and offer services that I know I can get done on fiverr for 1/2 - 1/8 the cost. I test the gig first myself to see the work is good and turnaround time is acceptable. Then I sell the service on my spots.

Also here is a bit more details of how I get such a markup. I add my own talents to the service for example I am pretty good at KW research, article writing & getting links indexed fast so if I can offer KW research building an SEO plan and outsource the actual Backlink building I can sell the service for $40+ and spend $10 - $15 on gigs and everyone is happy.

Essentially my clients get upto 4 guys working on a project for them and all guys are good at what they do. Forget worrying about the $5 and how low it is just think of how you can work an arbitrage and make a winning situation for everyone. I hope this helps someone out because guys on here have helped me out a lot.

For some reason no one wants to pay me $5 to write I love you on my ass cheeks.
