Here you go, a question for ya. I have a 1.5 year old fiverr clone site with a small professional seo package employed on 5 keywords - so far 3 keywords are ranking first page google.co.uk after 2 months plugging.

I spoke to a guy called Piet, a director of an advertising firm. His advice was to scrap it due to the time spent on administration such as customer service, and the like. I see where he's coming from, but is he missing the big picture? Will a fiverr clone potentially produce targeted traffic opportunities worth keeping?

Fiverr clones require alot of work if you had it for 1 and a half years and its not successful yet.then its a good idea to scrap it or find better ways to promote it.you could sell it on flippa might be able to get some money for it.

IOk best to give you more to go on. Yes it's a 1.5 year old domain, but this means nothing. it's basically been sitting there with me not knowing what to do, until the past few months (largely due to reading BHW). In my pre IM days I thought buy a domain, set up a site a wait for the money to roll in...yes...it didn't happen! In the past 3 months I have built up a 500 follower book face account, twitter account is set to go and the SEO is picking up.

    What a mug am I.

This site is wide open to various forms of IM, it has a facebook account with 500 followers, a new twitter account and G+1...

Having checked flippa for keywords fiverr clone etc nothing seems to sell for more than $25. Either the money making fiverr clones are making too much money to sell, or it's a market with no potential...

    Is it a worthy market?

Might be a hard market to break into, do a little marketing and see if there's an interest for ANOTHER fiverr clone. We really can't tell you whether or not your particular site is going to be a winner or not.
