Fiverr changed their search algorithm again?

Yesterday I was pissed off as hell. I login to Fiverr and hey, big surprise! Nothing new, for 2 weeks now I only got measly 3 orders. My usual rate is 3-4 orders a day. My gigs don't even get any good views. Now I know that Fiverr is trying to give new users a fair chance, but having no orders in 2 weeks is just too much.

So I write their tech support. Use very harsh and heavy words words. They forwarded the ticket to their product manager, whatever that means. No answer yet. However, several hours after forwarding the ticket, Fiverr puts up a notice saying "We're updating our search engine" or something like that.

Could it be that things will be better for us good sellers from now on? I still see no improvement, but it might take a few days to settle, who knows. Anyone got more information on this?

I'm sorry if posting a thread like this is a taboo on BHW. I don't see why it would be, I'm just giving information that I have, but what the heck...

Yes, fiverr search function is a mess recently.

When I search for "edu backlinks", there are only 67 results (and my gig isn't there any more).
When I search "edu blog backlinks", there are 20,835 results (one of my gigs is no longer on page 1 and I'm not sure where it is, and my other one - different account - is on page 3).

Haven't had any orders in the past 2 days. Anyway, regardless of the position of my gig, there is a huge disparity between the search results for "edu backlinks" and "edu blog backlinks". I know that there were more than 67 results for "edu backlinks". It gives 3 pages of results at the moment, and when I click on page 3, it gives me the option to click further page numbers (e.g. 4, ,5, etc) but they don't give any result. So there is obviously an issue with the search function.

U know how it goes. Guys hear about a good thing and wear it out. While you're discovering how to adjust to the changes why not multiply your options with other sites out there like Fivver. Even if they are smaller sites the compensation is your had has less competition. ;)

I have my gigs on every major Fiverr clone, with absolutely 0 sales on all of them. All I get is the occasional spam in a private message, like "Hey, if you join bla-bla-bucks we'll put your gig on Featured" or something.

And yes, I've done some aggressive marketing on the internet. I've posted my gigs on hundreds of blogs. I am quite good with automation so I wrote a small bot that searches for blogs and posts the gig in comments. I've also done some Pinterest and Linkedin marketing, but no noticable results whatsoever. WTF fiverr... I have served hundreds of happy customers, got 100% feedback and yet I'm pushed so far back that I've had no orders for half a month. I understand their noble cause of giving everyone an equal chance. I'm completely fine if they remove my gig altogether for 3-4 days monthly in order to push forward the new sellers, but dude.. Leaving me with no business for half a month is like saying "There's nothing for you here, go away". And I'm seriously considering that. The service I'm offering costs $400/hour if you're lucky enough to find it for that price even. The only thing keeping me on Fiverr is because I suck at SEO and would never manage to promote my site efficiently enough to get any sales.

But seriously, if things don't straighten out on Fiverr I'll just have to pack my stuff and walk away towards the sunset in search for better places.

Sucks man, I have to pause my gig due to the volume of orders I receive. Keyword stuffing is very effective, so be sure to put it in at least every sentence in your description and maybe twice in your title.

Wow, you must be a genius or something, figuring out that I don't own Fiverr.

Have you ever heard of a COMMUNITY? COOPERATION? It's the thing where everyone works for the common good. 1 person complains, nothing happens. 500 complain, something's bound to change. Maybe they'll still keep their algorithm but they'll reduce the pushing back time from several weeks to several days. This is why they have SUGGESTIONS. They depend on us (sellers) as much as we depend on them, so it's mutual benefit, something you're probably unfamiliar with.

And just to show how utterly and completely wrong you are, go to Fiverr, click on the Technology category and check which gig just moved on position #1.

Looks like the search function is working properly now. Just got three orders in the past 8 hours after a few days of zero orders.

    Very true Sir.
After 2 weeks of absolute silence, today I got a full extras ($25) order and 7 normal orders, netting me a total of $48 in earnings. Not bad, must I say. That was my daily standard for a long time. I hope it lasts.. If not, we should maybe organize a grouped complaint again :beerchug:
