I've just noticed that having orders in queue influences the ranking of the gig VERY MUCH. Also the less 'days to deliver' you have, the higher the gig will rank.

I noticed this when my gig was somewhere #5-#8 and jumped to #1 when I got an order, outranking all other gigs that got more positive reviews and more of the new Gig Collections than mine, even though they also got orders in queue however mine has less delivery time.

Though don't forget about late delivery and cancellation rate.

Thanks for the tips. Also, be sure to use the keyword you want to rank for a couple times in your post, and positive reviews help.

My gigs usually rank ok, though they don't have too much competition. I haven't noticed this, thanks..

It's also the herd mentality. "Oh, this seller has 15 orders in queue, so must be pretty good," join the crowd dynamic. Then Fivver in turn ranks that gig higher, so more see it and also open a gig, in a herd-like fashion. Or a conga line.

Wonderful tip. Thanks a lot. I am also trying out how to rank in Fiverr and have looked all over the forum for tips. So golden rule, always try to have queue and always try to have a fast delivery date. Now this should not be too hard. Also will building backlinks also help? Like forum posting ,etc etc.. And also the LEVEL (The seller account level) dont help with the rankings?

Not so sure about your "less time deliver is better"

I have 60 orders in que right now in mine and mine takes 14 days to deliver....

My gig is at the number 1 spot right now for the keyword: YouTube

I think the COLLECTED this gig is very important as mine has 75

I don't think Fiverr use backlinks in their ranking algorithm, it's more the account status and gigs quality. I'm not seeing my Level 2 status (which I got back after being demoted) giving me any ranking benefit but it's a great one because it puts the confidence in the users to make a purchase. I'm not sure if what I mentioned is still working but every single positive impact like positive reviews, orders in queue, collections etc. certainly helps.

Ok, you posted this while I was writing this post. Well I'm not sure about the ranking anymore, like I mentioned above. I think I posted this thread before the implementation of the feature Collections. Congratz on your domination with your youtube services..

LOL - "I will collect your gig 100 times for $5". Anyone? :)

    A few things, Junk...

I'm liking your gig about collecting....good idea.

Also, a really messed up thing happened to me on fiverr 2 months ago....I was a rated 2 and was rolling in the extras...

I then bought a backlinks gig for MYSELF and when I submitted my info to the seller I told them I wanted them to do the backlinks for http://Iliketraffic.com (which is my site of course)

They immediately stripped me of my level 2.

    1. I don't understand why they did this
    2. You said you were stripped and then got yours back. How did you do it?

So you got demoted for rules violation? Are you sure about that? Because people share URLs all the time, it's part of the gigs..

I got demoted due to the high cancellation rate, I cancel them myself because too many idiots kept on buying my gig without reading the description.
I got promoted back when I started making sales again. You just have to wait it out, there's nothing you can do about it, other than create more gigs and hope you make more sales.

    Yeah....I tested it.

I bought the gig, exchanged my like for him to do the backlinks and immediately it blocked it and he could not see the link and I got a notice of infraction.

I then tried to send it to him AGAIN and AGAIN I got a notice of infraction.

I then even tried it a 3rd time and got yet another notice. We had to cancel the gig because it wouldn't let me send him my site URL.

Now that is dumb. My gig is also about websites and such, people send me their URLs all the time, via gigs and inbox and we never had any problem. Only the last time when someone wanted me to change the email address on the website, he couldn't get it over.

I see you already are running a clone. I'd say put the time into promoting that and getting yourself a decent logo, lol..

Come to think of it, I used to have gigs that have 2-3 week delivery times and there would be a lot of orders in queue I would get a decent amount of orders every day. When I decided to cut down delivery time to 2-3 days, I got a lot less gigs purchased overall.
