Five year site with PR0?

So I have this law related site with nice articles I created about 4-5 years ago. Basically sat for most of the time with no updates. Used to rank but now I can hardly find it in top 200. PR is 0 despite some pr5/6 links to it. Wondering if it is flagged by G somehow? It does show in index with site: but wondering how I could push it to first page. EMD for a local search with only 40k results so I thought easy but still not showing up. Any ideas on what I could do to raise in G results? Sure appreciate it.

Yeah, I got 4 years site which I started from scratch and I still keep updating. It's got 150K+ quality links, DA/PA = 50/60 and is still PR0 ?? What happened to my site was that I overused ALN back when it worked best. Now I got this penalty and I don't rank anymore ... anywhere except site's name.

If it has some PR4/5 ******** links from quality sites and it still is PR0, chances are that it is penalised, just like mine. I believe I could easily redirect the site to .net (I got all the TLDs) and then penalty would be lifted and I would rank high again. I might just do it and will let you know what happens.
 
Mine does show.. in position 101 for the EMD keyword/name. Shows position 43 for another page on site for specific term. And position 58 for a third keyword. Maybe just in those positions due to no updates for years? how is best way to resurrect something like this?
 
kosmo, just try to get some High PR backlinks to the main page of your domain and on next PR update you will notice the results

to raise the listing results, simply start a link building campaign on tiers
 
Any suggestions as I see many ways. I assume some web 2.0 blogs with unique content pointing back to main URL.. then send like wiki,blog/forum comments, etc to those blogs?
 
yes, thats one of the most common and yet effective way! don't forget and social bookmarks
 
i have... have a few directory pr6 sites I own and also ran a press release through one of two pr sites I own...and still no change. Odd.
 
Try sending a reconsideration request to google . Tell them that you think your site has a penalty. Be sure to remove any "bad" backlinks or use G disavow tool. It is worth giving a try.
 
but it does show in G results so you still think it is a penalty due to PR0?
 
You need to analyze your site and figure out the problem and why you are not ranking on Google.

In the past do you use to receive traffic?

On the issue of PR0, have you been building links and what type of links have you been doing?

Basically, it doesn't take 3 months to get to PR2 or 3 using the right tool.
 
Its sort of a site i dont care about but did want to use it to test. its been neglected for years so i assume that is why it ranks #101 for main keyword. Built nothing in years and no content so what can i expect i guess. I thought since EMD = main keyword and some good high power backlinks that it would shoot it up but seems not.

It is worth trying. Sometimes google might devalue your site and not remove it from the index
