"Around 70 percent of truck drivers are obese and at high risk for conditions like heart disease and diabetes, and many in the trucking business worry that the poor health of drivers is threatening the industry."

Gonna take notes on this one...

Step 1: Find a product/service that people truly need and want (dating, health, etc)

Step 2: Find a niche where those people are notoriously bad at it for whatever reason

Step 3: Profit

i could be wrong since i'm a rookie in IM and i'm still learning, but i see 2 downside for the niche :

- I don't think the "trucker" population use a lot social media, so it would be more difficult to reach them

- I'm not sure they are likely to buy thing online related to health or stuff like that, because obvioulsy if there is 70% of the truckers with health pb it means they don't really care about that kind of stuff.

Don't hesitate to prove me wrong, the best way to learn is to make mistake.

Some good points you amde. I don't mean that this is a great niche necessarily for IM, just that it's smart targeting.

For what it's worth, truckers actually do have smart phones and internet I think - what else do you do on those long drives? And I wouldn't say that just because 70% of population is obese they don't care about diet and fitness. I think they care a lot, and are willing to pay a lot to solve the problem :)

You've identified
a) your niche: fitness
b) your demographic: truckers
All that's left is to combine the two and make money.
There's no secret to it. Find some health offers. Make a landing page that's angled for truckers. Market it on places where truckers congregate. Cash in.
