I came trough a PR2 expired domain name, the pr is good and the domain is relevant to my niche. But the other moz.com metrics like PA,DA and so on are all 1 and 0. I have checked the backlink profile and there were no backlinks at all. How come it has a PR of 2?

PR is not just linked to backlinks, it depends on site content too. Also, it's possible that the site was 301'd to another domain and picked up a bit of PR that way. Look on archive.org and google "info:site.com" to find out.

exactly. If there were any dodgy redirects in the past, PR could have struck around, and it's best to avoid this site all together.
