First Time With WordPress - ShopperPress Theme Shows Nothing?

This is my first time using WordPress and I've installed and activated my purchased ShopperPress theme. I'm afraid some interuptions in my ShopperPress download have cause the them to not work properly because all I'm seeing is this:

Well I guess I'm not allowed to post links or images... sweet. take a look at wheretobuytoms_net

Can someone confirm this? I don't want to screw around re-downloading and uploading if this isnt the issue because it takes forever on my connection.

I think it's a permission issue. Login to the FTP via FileZilla, right click either on httpdocs or public_html (depends on the server) and click 'File Attributes', then in 'Numeric Value' type 775 and tick 'Recurse into subdirectories' -> 'Apply to all files and directories'. Click OK and wait (it might take quite a while, depends on how many files are on the server).

Thanks n1te, ill give it a try. I have another thought too though. Since I uploaded via ftp nothing ever happened with my license key. Where do I need to put this because now im guessing that is the issue.
 
when you click on any of the shopperpress menu items on the left sidebar you should be prompted for your license key

Okay, thanks 6hundy my license is in now. Issue still remains so I'm trying to give the permissions suggestion a go. I've checked my root folder, my site folder, my wp-content folder and my themes folder. I don't appear to have an httpdocs or public_html in any of the above. I do remember deleting the public_html folder because I thought it was part of what I uploaded. Where should this folder live and how do I get it back?

I am still confident I deleted a folder public_html but I am now seeing that the highest level folder that I can access via ftp is the public_html. I am not able to get to a folder where I see a public_html folder within it. I am completely unsure where to go from here. I had another wordpress site up and running but since deleting this other public_html folder this site to has become similar looking to the original site. Why would there be 2 public_html folders? Where do I go from here?
 
Hi cfrost,

Maybe you have a server that doesn't require neither public_html nor httpdoc. That shouldn't be a problem anyway, because if the root directory didn't have the required permissions you would only see a white page saying "Access Denied". Your site folder should be sufficient, just follow the steps I wrote above. Let me know your findings.

I guess Im unsure how to do that since your directions were specific to two folders that I do not have.
 
Okay I see that I misread this. I'm at work right now but I did try to right click the main site folder last night and I didn't see file attributes anywhere. I tried this via windows explorer ftp and then downloaded filezilla to see if my options would be different. I also tried properties thinking it might be in there and saw nothing.
 
I do not have a permissions option, I have a properties option. When I click this I get the read/write/execute options but I do not get the numeric value option.

Does someone with Bluehost know if there's a different way to set this value?

Okay i found where to set file attributes in Bluehost. For anyone who got here looking for that:

I went to File Manager in cPanel. Selected my public_html folder and hit okay. Then Right clicked public_html and clicked change permissions. I then ticked write under the group column and this got me to 775 and I clicked ok.

Unfortunately this did not solve my issue. One of my webpages is now blank white and the other gave me a 500 error the first time i reloaded and this the second: "[an error occurred while processing this directive] ". There was no option for Recurse into subdirectories though.

I am still digging for a solution if anyone has other thoughts.
