I had my first attempt at running facebook ads for my gambling business. Obviously I tried cloaking, never mentioned gambling anywhere, used similar language. Followed the usual instructions, used a very old facebook account i had with another name, made in 2011. Made a page for my business, added pics, descriptions etc. Crafted an ad and an image that never mentions gambling and leads to a typeform quick 5 question form that I was hoping would provide leads that I later speak to via email. My competitors do the same and have been doing it for months now so I copied their approach.

Set up all the settings, added my card and i posted. Ad was approved within an hour. It ran for 3 days - good news was that the cost per click was very low, like $0.26 (according to chatgpt that's very good). Bad news are that I got no submissions lol. It spent like $15 overall and it had 82 clicks. Few thousand impressions. 0 submissions.

My first question is, do you think that's all to do with the typeform being basic and unoptimized? If it generates interest but no one goes the full way?

And the second is... I think today I got f'd by facebook. Just logged into the account and I was met with an ugly pop up saying I need to verify something. Next page was them asking me to start up with email verification - and I'm waiting for my brother to find this old account's password so I can try and get the email. I don't see the ad running anymore, is it removed or paused? And if I verify the email, what's usually waiting for me on the next screen, what will they want? Am I done?

What cloaker did you use? And what card? Did you use your own card? There are special VCCs for that.

The benefits of filling out the form are not clearly stated (what will you receive? Tips? Deals? Special offers? Exclusive content?).
There is a lack of credibility signals (who is behind it, their reputation, security, and whether it's not spam).
There is a lack of a buffer: people are not ready to give their email address immediately.

If you want to get subscribers, you should stop hiding your content and use your official link.

The popup means a trust review; ads are likely paused, and after email verification they may ask for ID or restrict ads

To be honest I also tried running the same on FB and the same thing happened! I got great impressions on my ad but no submissions or sign ups! but my account did not get ban!

I would suggest to first run a warm up ad - which is a genuine one for a day or 2 and once the account starts spending change the images and other links !
This way the account suspension doesnt happen so quickly!

Probably because you cloaked incorrectly. Put yourself in the customer's perspective, bro. Maybe your lead form makes them not trust enough to fill in information. Try a different cloaking style and change creatives, replacing lead form with a landing page will be more reputable.
