First time money maker online

I have owned my own server and hosted my site for years now.
I admin several others and love to play with webdesign.
I have never made a $ from my site. I have designed websites but they have not been because of my site. There just friends and workers etc.

My question is, how hard is it really to make $ online.
I mean i have no system in place to even start.
Well i do have a adsence account and that sort of crap.
But have never done much in regards to outbound seo on site to generate traffic.
I hold a #1 list on my chosen keyword. (easy to do when its a obscure word like damink) but like i said only really get maby 20 visitors a day to my site.
They are normally mates etc who simply search me via damink because there to lazy or stupid to bookmark etc.
I guess my question is motivated by the fact my girlfriend is wanting to start making money online.
Basically i work full time as a tradesman anyways but i have a server ready and willing to put it to work for me. Preferably have the woman admin it if needed.
Maby well proberbly a very silly question for most if not all members of such a forum so go easy on me.
I am referring to starting to create a base so making money is really possible.
I obviously have credit cards and that sort of crap and am not after the supposed $1000's a day sort of thing.. more a site where i can actually see a return from, concistantly.
Sorry for all the typos but im pretty pissy right now.. celebrating becoming a father for the 3rd time.. just found out a couple hrs ago... heehheh woo hoo....

Proxies are still good. Someone posted some ebook about image hosts which seemed easy and simple. Look around the whole Making Money forum and you'll find a lot of stuff.

Dude, you're basically sitting on a gold mine of information. All the answers to your questions lie within. Click the "forums" link up top and start reading around, start in the BlackHat SEO section. Other than that, don't expect anyone to hand out a blueprint for success. Oh and congrats on the 3rd!

And thanks also for the congrats... im stoked... 3rd but still like the first. I intend to use your advice and perhaps spend a couple of weeks of reading to better understand the true avenues available to me...
