First time affiliate site (Question)

Hey Guys,

I am in the process of putting a 75 page site online all based off of one affiliate link.

I've read that Google doesnt like affiliate sites.

Do they have a harder time getting ranking?
Should I somehow cloak the url?
Should I not worry about it at all?

Any advice appreciated!

Probably be best to cloak your links if possible. As for affiliate sites, it depends on how you do your site. Alot of affiliate sites will either copy and paste the sales page of the vendor or will have little useful content. If you give useful content then your probably onto a winner. Good Luck

Make sure you cloak your links.

Also, I would suggest you setup a simply php redirect from a page on your site. This will not only show a more friendly url but will also provide you a single location to switch out the offer if it's not performing.

Don't worry Google will like your site if you have quality and unique content. Overall experience of visitor should be good. Keep usual stuffs on your site like privacy policy, TOS, contact us...

Cloaking link will be good option, no one likes dirty affiliate links lol.. You can do it easily by uploading a php page. Make a php page with name of your affiliate product... Lets take example you promoting loans.. so i will make a php page by name of loans.php then i will put code from below in it and will upload it to my server. Now you are ready to use that url (yoursite.com/loans.php) as affiliate link. You can put in subfolder like go, goto or recommended... Use as you want.
