First steps (n00b thread warning)

Hello guys, I don't even know if I'm posting this is in the right section to begin with. I've been lurking BHW for a few months now, I've taken action with a couple of methods but haven't had much luck. The thing is that I have been trying to run before learning how to walk.


I don't know anything about Internet Marketing, sometimes I can't even understand the things that I read on this site. Is there a thread or post with all the lingo and terms that I should now, or in fact that every white/black hatter should know?

I tried to use the search function but nothing useful has come up. I would really appreciate if one of you guys could point me in the right direction.

Use the Search Function.
If the search function doesn't deliver useful results, blame the User and not the computer.
Read some more.
Post relevant, interesting, thoughtful questions, and pay close attention to the answers, and express appropriate gratitude when something of valuable has been given to you, for free, from someone that didn't really have to do it.
Read some more.
Post interesting, entertaining posts and create/develop relationships with people that know things, and pay close attention when they give you something valuable for free.
Go back to using the Search Function, because you've been doing it wrong.
Get back to reading.

One thing you should try to keep in mind is that IM is a large subject. There's a lot to learn about a lot of things. Lots of different "classes" of Internet Marketing. A lot of people here know a lot about what they do, and absolutely nothing about something else. No one knows it all. You won't either.
