How much advantage ones have if uses a domain name that exclusively contains the keyword?

For example if my keyword is "house improvements" and I get that exact domain

Should I compete with athority websites targetting the same kw or the domain name is not an advantage?

Whatever you do, don't spam the keyword, especially if it's in the URL too.

Of course, no espam and original content added daily targeting the kws and semantics. But would the kw domain give that edge to compete with stablished sites??

Yes its called an Exact Match Domain - EMD

When doing back links use long tail phrases - only a tiny percentage should be the keyword

EMD used to have an advantages but not any more(for most) from the recent updates

As long as you get a quality EMD and not a spammy one,you'll have more ranking power and and allmost no chanses to get penalised.
