first page on google but almost no visitors

hy.so here is my first post.
First of all I wanted to say that this forum is a blessing :rolleyes:
After a couple of months reading it I decided to try it for myself.
So after 5 days I am on the first page of google (with my main keyword,and with youtube clip),BUT all I get is about 30-40 visitors (mostly from youtube).
Is this normal?I just wait or...? What to do?

How many searches does you keyword get?

What position is your site in now?

More information will make it easier to give you advice. You don't have to give up your keywords, just get an estimate on how many monthly searches there are. ;)
 
the keyword could be really low volume. if people aren't searching for it, don't matter if it's on the first page or not. check your keyword in market samurai to see how many searches it gets. the data that it reports is daily, and you can use the SEOT column to tell your roughly how many visits the first position gets in that day.

Chances are you're doing a good job already, see if there is a related keyword that your can rank for that gets a bit more traffic.
 
Well it sounds normal....cause it all depends on your keyword, how many actual searches per month it gets and with the YT clip it makes alot of sense as people tend to rather watch a video instead of reading a blog.
How many searches per month does your keyword get? What position are you on page 1 of G? There is a helluva difference between traffic from the #1 spot to the #5 spot.
But congrats on page 1....nice work! Now monetize it and scale it up!

5 days, top 10 position... I think this is a low volume keyword. Getting 40 visitors/day isn't too bad for such a keyword.

Expect a drop down soon though.

You are right it's not a very competitive keyword - 12,100 Monthly searches ( market samurai SEOT - 200) , but it's my first try so I didn't want to get too deep and complicated,just wanted to see if I can do it ( #3 in google ).
So what do you think I should just drop this blog and get into something more "popular" or I can get some $ from this ?
 
Don't drop it, look for more keywords if you are already getting 30-40 a day in 5 days that's a good start.

You said you had market samurai, USE IT! Its a powerful tool (And one of my favorites ;) ) just do few searchs in market samurai and see what comes up I am sure you can find a few good keywords.
 
find good keywords do some more research and then u got more quality visits in your site and also look for content's !!
