I have a question for the experienced SEO people who know how
how google works as far as ranking and potentially getting on the first
page. If you have a domain name a .net and someone types in the exact
keyword of your domain name how hard is it for you to rank on the first page of just the keyword of your domain?

Ranking EMD's (Exact Match Domain) are fairly simple if you do correct onpage seo and you have some sort of backlink campaign.

Thanks for the feedback. Would 301,000 exact matches on google monthly search
for this one word keyword have any value to it as far as building a niche site?

It is thought that E
MD domains do help with SEO but this is still debated. However a keyword with that search volume will probably be highly competitive so you'll need to do a lot more SEO than just having an EMD. Analyse the page rank and number of backlinks of the pages on page 1 for the keyword you are trying to rank for to get a better indication of how easy it will be to rank highly. Generally an average PR of less than 4 and less than a few hundred backlinks is a good sign.

Thank you very much.. Google is stating on there keyword tool and i am not
sure if that tool is accurate but it is stating that the search term competition is low. I am not sure if that is what you are referring to. Do you have any insight as to what is the reasonable amount of global monthly exact searches on a keyword that would bring in some money each month if site is monetized correctly? Is 301,000 global monthly searches for that exact domain name a good amount?

I would recommend to do on-page SEO first of all to get a good ranking. For monetizing it, you have to think out of the box and do not just rely on keywords analysis.
