I'm new to ebay and I just placed my first listing on ebay, What i want to ask is what will I do to attract people to my auctions?

I've provided my auction link so, please tell me if you find any mistake in my auction.

I also want to sell DVDs in future, could you tell me what are the important things that I should know?

Theres a few things you need to improve on before selling on feedback.

    1. First of all, get some feedback. A star is nice, so try getting at least 10 feedback. Once you get past the 100 mark you are set, as then you will have less likely chance of paypal 21 day hold.

    2. Make your auction more attractive. The more attractive it is, the more people you will win over to bid on your item. Use the listing tools and designer helps, it's cheap and makes it look nice. Use colors.

    3. Get a more attractive name, keep it clear, concise and make it relate to what you are selling.

    4. Keywords! every single letter in your title is VERY imporant. Replace AND with & or a /. More unique words = better for searches

I have more, but those are generally best.

i recommend you use the Advanced Search option and select Completed Listings and do a search on what you plan on selling..it will help give you keywords and the going rate

I recommend getting some feedback. Look for some penny auctions. Or anyone selling digital items for really cheap. They usually give instant positive feedback.

Most important thing is the keywords in your auction tittle. Thats what makes the difference from an auction that flops to one that sells fast!

Put some more pictures in your auctions, minimum of 3, use photobucket or another picture hosting service so you don't have to pay ebay picture fees.. Use large closeup pictures, 500-650 pixels wide, centre your pictures.

Use Blue, Red and Black Type, Use Arial or Verdana font, don't use any point size smaller than 16point. Vary the font size, use bold italics for keywords, centre your text.

Change your ebay name, if you intend to sell apple/ipod accessories then you should change your ebay name to something like Ipod3GKing.

Get some feedback on that account, buy low value items and encourage the sellers to leave you feedback.

In your description write a story on how your product can help the buyer. Here's an example.

This Ipod charger is compatible with all makes of 3G Ipod and Itouch, it will charge your batteries giving you hours of time on the road with your mobile device. Why pay the ridiculous full price that some stores offer when for just a few dollars you can have this one posted to you in a few days.

Offer a refund policy, build some trust with your buyer. Put that policy in your auctions.

Use Turbolister it's free from ebay.
