Hi lads,

This is the first time doing a serious linkbuilding campaign for my money site. In the past, i bought some links sporadically by myself and i hired a guy in 2024 to build some PBNs, and also he added some parasite links because he found it convenient. He knows more than me, so i have to trust him.

We are ranking well, but we are losing some traffic due to the keywords that we are ranking are becoming more complicated, and also i want to rank more keywords. We need more authority, its one of the things with more room for improvement.

I want to rank specifically 5 pages.

I have bought 4 links in the last 4 months from marketplaces (1 each) to these pages (one of them was a link to our blog, it was an agreement with another webmaster) different anchors, from pages that make sense to get a link, and some authority (but it is not my main concern),... and my plan is to get 4 more, one each month. 8 links in total.

We are getting a toxic link attack, but i have it under control with SEMrush.

Based on your experience, will i get a penalty?I Do you think that its a solid linkbuilding strategy? I thought about stopping 1 month in the middle of the campaign for doi not look very aggressive.

The thing with expried domains its that its very very complicated to find domains with authority and with a relevant topic to my money site, so i think that buying links is more faster in the short term. I look for expired domains all the time, but i want to buy good ones.

Thanks lads, your experience is very valuable.

Kind regards.

8 links over 8 months is nothing crazy if anchors are mixed and pages make sense. Wouldn’t worry about a penalty. Parasites/PBNs matter more if they’re sloppy.

You're doing well, as long as you're avoiding spam, 4 links a month is surely not aggressive by any means,
You're very likely aiming for the right domains as well, getting niche-relevant clean domains with good authority is the right way,
And yes, you'll be limited by the number of domains you can get on a monthly basis,

The thing is, you don't have to stick to the niche 100% for the auction domains,
You can get/bid for domains that would make sense to link to your niche/website as well,
For example, if your website is about apples, you can get health/food/recipes/parenting/nutrition/regional domains, etc.... and they would work,
Just be creative in the way you're linking to your website, keep it natural, and stick to "good" & "clean" domains,

Ofc, you don't want the whole link profile to consist of random niche-irrelevant websites either, once again, keep it natural,
Many would disagree, but I would keep at least 40-60% of the domains linking to the website very niche-relevant (as long as it's possible),
SEO is changing and the algo is more sensitive than ever nowadays, so it would be better to build more bulletproof PBN rather than taking risks
