Hey guys,

What steps do you recommend after a new site went live regarding link building?

I am targeting some very low competition keywords.

Social Media offers a lot of ways to build links but is one superior to another? E.g. are 5 Social Bookmarks better than 25 Links from mediocre forums?

What I am aiming for is the minimal dose for the maximum result. Again, the keywords are very low competition.

Thanks,
Tom

I like to do good social bookmarks or some High PR blog commenting. This will help you get indexed fast.

Indexation is not a probably, usually done within 48 hours. I am only talking about link building for ranking purposes.

For low competitive keyword would I aim for volumen. I would make 10 links in 10 min rather than using your time to find some "high quality" sites.

Make a blog search now and just do it. Remember to ping your links as well.

I would probably make 50 links right away and then wait a week to see the impact. Maybe ping all your links in a few days from now, to help getting your links indexed.

Good luck with your project.

Blogcommenting on high PR may help you to get 1st page if your target is low competition. :)

All I can say is quality over quantity. If you have scrapebox try this; scrape some keywords relevant to your site, harvest URL's, do a PR check and submit a bunch of manual comments to any PR3+ site. If you want just spam like some people do go for it, but I don't recommend it.

- A mixture of high/low PR quality blog comments on related niche blogs.
- Manual article submissions to some non auto-approve/auto-approve article directories
- Create Web 2.0 properties (Squidoo, Blogger, etc.)
- Social bookmarking

It's important not to panic if you don't see backlinks being indexed immediately. Sometimes it can take weeks, even months from my experience. In the beginning stages of your linking, it's important to be patient. The backlinks will show up. Also, remember that better content means a higher probability of someone else creating a natural backlink to your site.

First thing i would do, and i do this on my sites

Day1
Submit to g00gle webmaster tools + sitemap
Bookmarks, around 100 of the best
Buy 1 High PR6+ backlink
Rss to as many sites as you can with your new site, and the new bookmarks

Day2
10 High n0follow backlinks ~ to look natural

Day3
1000 + 5000 xrumer forum profiles, pyramid style 1000 anchor text, and 5000 linkbacks

Day4
Ping what you did on day 1

Day5
10 good Pr blogs

Day6
New list of xrumer and again 1000 + 5000

Day7
Youtube videos 10+ with link or comments

After this you should be looking very good in serps and remember everthing should be d0follow except day2
