Hello BHW,

This is my first thread on here, also my first journey. My goal is to try to build a few IGs in a variety of niches to try and make money off of ecommerce. If things work out, and I am able to maintain and build a large following I plan to find manufacturers that are willing to dropship and expand beyond just IG marketing and try for a shopify store as well. Eventually moving into amazon fba.

But those are the goals, for now I must focus on actually building a following and potential customer base. In order to do so I plan to create "minion" accounts to refer people back to the main account. These accounts will be within a "sub niche", of my main account. It's a bit difficult to explain without giving the niche away.

Currently I am using GMT2 and have only 1 account, that I've had up for about a week. I am relatively new to this stuff so I started out conservatively and had to learn along the way a bit, specifically how to increment and what are realistic and safe amounts.

I am getting my content from prominent figures within the community, and genuinely want to build something of value. I plan to do outside research to expand my own knowledge base on the niche so that I can scrape content from prominent well known/talented figures within the community.

I will post content, and do research on hashtags that I am able to actually scale onto (meaning those that aren't too prominent), though I believe this is not the preferred method of scaling as it has been nerfed (?).

I will update this thread once a week. I will start growing one minion account every month, while I figure out how to scale, and streamline my content scraping methodology.

Hello Knob360, my idea is to do something similar to yours but I need some help, is this possible? I await an answer. Thank you!

Hello Everyone, Updating my journey, I've been a bit busy but I'm here now

Week #3

Follow back percentage: ~13%
Engagement: ~13%

I had a little issue with my unfollow settings which caused my account to be asked for verification. I let the account rest, figured out the math behind my follow settings, how much delay per interaction, how many interactions per operation, how much delay after each operation. I did this for Daily and hourly settings.
The goal is to reach 500 follows a day, check the increment amounts, I should be able to reach that within 40 days:

I then proceeded to replicate my settings to the Unfollow Module, and scheduled it so that it spends most of the week following users and most of the weekend unfollowing users.
I also started to curate my content more and have diversified scraping sources. This is time consuming as I don't know if the push module is worth it, I really don't want to repost irrelevant content, like someone's picnic or their kids birthday party. This means that every Sunday I spend some time scraping/changing m5hash and scheduling posts.
I noticed that I do get engagement off of using hashtags, though I've seen many people don't bother using them.
This weekend I will start my second account as a subniche, I think it's a good time to do so because my account is growing slowly and I have figured out, what I consider to be, proper settings.

However I had an issue again with the software, it for some reason just followed the max increment amount (500), currently working on fixing the issue as I don't want this account to get burned and this is the second week in a row I've had issues with the settings.

Goal for next week:
1) setup my second account
2) redo logo for main account
3) fill in bio for main account

Hope you do succeed with this journey. Good luck to you.

Week #4

Built my second IG account as a subniche, will be scheduling posts and editing settings today. I had an issue again, my main account was asked for verification. This was the second time, and I don't believe it's because of my follow settings but it very well could be. It could be that the post schedule was set during a follow operation. I normally automate follows for 8 hour periods, with a 1 hour break in between; this way it looks as if the account is doing this as a job full time and taking a lunch break. I think the fact that I scheduled a post during a follow operation might've flagged the account a bit. When I looked at the operation history it showed a very small time between the follow operation and the scheduled post, something like a 10 second difference. I think I am going to work on my scheduling for follow/unfollow, currently I have it set so that I have 4 days of consecutive following, and then 3 days consecutive unfollowing, this as because I had an average follow back time of 3 days. However I think this might make my account looks suspicious both for bots and for users. I will try to alternate every 3rd day so that it alternates between follow/unfollow modules.

I was not able to work on the logo and bio for account 1 I will be sure to do that today, at least the bio.
